  1. Do you have braided hoses Dave? That's the 'issue' I think - the clips are for 5mm hose but the braided is 6mm, if you file the clips out a bit with a small round file they will work :) Of course, playing with a 3D printer is much more fun though :P

I've got the same hoses as dave on my skye with the clips and they work fine, but when we put the same brakes on my friends arcade they didn't stay on... Doony think its the hoses, must be the guides on the frame being different.

  2. are you using windows moviemaker? and/or does it say something on the lines of "failed to play media due to unsupported format" when you go to play a saved vid, or just a completely un edited video as well?

Because the camera shouldn't be the problem.

  3. Loads of riders have no issues fine running them with the Truvativ set-up's (that come standard) so I imagine you'll be fine.

    ^ that.

i had that with shimano deore cranks and they have the same chainline "shape" or "space" whatever you wanna call it. you'll be fine :)(Y)

  4. I've had these brakes since February and that lever is the only thing that's gone wrong, what you've seen is just the end result, you haven't seen the crashes and punishment they've taken (I tried a backflip but ended up sending the bike over 10ft in the air and it landed directly on the lever, I'm amazed there wasn't more damage!)

ahhh, that would explain it then (Y) Even still, I'm not 100% on Maguras yet due to the ones I've broken in such a short space of time....

  5. Personally wouldn't trust a Magura lever for 5 mins. after breaking 3 lever blades in less than 1 year, and that was back when my riding level wasn't that huge, plus i don't yank in levers hard. Whereas the Hope tech 3 levers that are getting close to 2 years old haven't had ANY problems whatsoever.

If the new Magura trial disc brakes are designed to be anywhere near as similar to their current 2014 or above levers, I wont consider them even the slightest.

However, lets get back on topic shall we? That video is insane!

  6. Not "all" new innovative/lightweight stuff breaks. There are manufacturers who are making lighter, stronger stuff, but the "problem" is that people buy shit parts from shit companies because they just look at the weight and price of things without really taking anything else into account.

i may as well have said that... haha :P

    But, to an extent

  7. Today's trials market is simply ridiculous. All the new "innovative and lightweight" stuff looks god awful, and breaks too quickly whilst also costing too much for what it is.

Any company gonna go to slightly heavier stuff thats revised, manufactured properly with actual sympathy? no, because everyone wants a 0.2kg lighter bike.
