  1. I'm not tarnishing the rest of cycling, just road racing =] , the stupid thing is, is that when you're in the industry its a well known fact that everyone is involved in it, voluntry o not... meh

  2. sorry for the bump, but this is a subject that really gets on my tits, 98% of profesional and a large proportion of amateur road racers are all on something, everyone in cycling is aware of it, they're all hypocrites, Armstrong was the best in his generation, as was cipollini, as was Merx as was Belmontes, Indurain, all of them had a bit of extra "help". this is an old fasioned witch hunt, nuff said..

  3. is that not what the new 661 guards have? or something similar, i remember thinking that someone should invent a polymer like this when i saw that thing on blue peter where they ran across a paddiling pool full of what i think was wheat starch mixed with water or something ^_^

  4. from personal experience the best thing to do is go into the bank, talk to the bank manager, and sort out a way of paying it back monthly, if you don't do anything, they'll put you on a blacklist, you wont be able to get any type of credit, loan, phone contract ect, to be honest, its not a large amount of money (in the eyes of a bank) so i think you should be able to do something about it before they take leagal action. i would imagine that they have you localized, all they have to do is look on the social security to find out who's emplying you.

so your best bet is to man up and go personallyinto the bank, :) don't worry, they wont bite your head off ^_^

  5. if you want cheap, try Andorra, right between france and spain, the good thing about Andorra is that you don't have to pay tax on anything, so all the gear and stuff is usually 20% cheaper than anywhere alse, and you have a large variety of slopes.

you can also visit the french alps from there and if you wish, drive to spain! i'm living in Barcelona and it's only a 3hr drive from here! ^_^(Y)

  6. really? i'd be prepared to sacrifice a degree of longevity for having the lightest bike in the world, in a race where every second and gram count it'd be worth it, besides you'd probably have a "heavy" bike to train on and you'd use that bad boy for race day...

i meant to say from an average riders point of view, as in official races there is a weight limit for security (i think ists around the 6kg mark) i know a very decent frmae could set you back between 2-3k plus all the components, it could easlly jump to around 6-7k for a full bike, i just think it's exsesive for a "normal bike" as in "i'll use it every time i go riding" thing. i suppose there're people with far too much money and time on their hands!

i know MSC did a full build "off the shelf" scanduim bike that weighed around the 8.7kg mark, with sus and full discs, that was about 4-5 years ago:

  7. they say that some people have used that frame for over 15,000 miles without problems! if i spent that much on a frame (regardless of it's weight) i certanly would want i to last longer that that! i know people who do well over 25k kms every year ! :blinkn imagine having to buy a new frame every year!!

actually i also know people who do that even without having to.. :ermm::lol:

P.S does anyone know what the lightest mtb is?

EDIT: random spanish words got in there somehow :ermm:

  8. even basic common sense / instinct tell's me that they are fake, but they were pretty clever when it came to marketing them, get a completely self satisfied shithorn like david beckham to wear one and then everybody will want to buy one no matter how much they cost.. people love this sort of tack, cocks like this need to be dealt with, to be honest i don't think it will be long now before these sort of companies start trying to sell you your own shadow

this is funny, all the major sports stars in spain wear them like ronaldo, even the minister of health wore one  i know in aussie land they have been taken of the market for false advertising (the only country ro do it atm) but fair play to the guy who invented it, he's made millions (Y)

  9. Exactly! I'd be so much happier if she was straight forward about it.

I think her missing the call/text/message on FB is not an option here. I know that she might be very busy this week but that's not an excuse.

And yes, it might be her part of the game but it's not really in good taste; I might have come across a bit too eager although I did space things out. It's not like I flooded her with calls or texts, tried to contact her 3 times since, using 3 different methods and nothing.

Have to move on I guess, it's just so annyoing that I don't know what went wrong.

just "loose interest" after a while she'll start getting paranoid 'cos you're not going after her, she'll end up contacting you saying something along the lines of..." oh sorry greetings, i've really busy/stressed and haven't had the time to answer you, let's say we meet up...blah blah bla"

    :turned:

  10. hahaha, that's why i can't be arsed to do it :turned: but a lot of people tell me that it's the best thing they've done to loose weight or even keep shape in winter for road racing, it gives you sooo much stamina it's unbelievable! and if you're sly you go to the back of the room and you can observe all of the fitties sweating it out :giggle:

  11. something that's really popular over here is spinning classes, i know people who have droppes 10-15kg just but doing 2-3 classes a week over a 2 month period, and it gets you really fit!! i personaly cant be arsed, and i (luckly) don't have a problem of fat, so i can whack up the calories a pump some iron  i think i've gained nearly 13kg in just over a year (of muscle not fat!) :turned:

so yeah if you can do spinning that's really good for loosing fat! ^_^
