  1. Went out for a drive, pulled into a layby to sort out everything rattling in my car.

Some woman parked infront of me, bouncing along with a flat tyre.

I insisted on changing it for her, managed to do it before she could get her fella there (even though he lived minutes down the road).

Got a few beers out of it, and got her on her way, feels good to do a good deed :)

  2. Strangely enough i posed this question to my girlfriend when we were in Columbia a few weeks ago. She confirmed that its much more comfortable wearing a skirt in hot weather, as you get a bit of a breeze and you don't feel as sticky.

Personally i don't understand why a woman can wear trousers or a skirt and society accepts it, but a man can't. Unfortunately i won't be the first person in the queue at Primark buying a skirt, but i admire the man who would.

    the Scottish wear kilts....

  3. go inside. i dont ride in the rain, and wouldnt expect anybody to look out the window and see it raind and say "looks like great wheather to ride my bike in"

also you could have bought different pads and ran a dead grind, which works in the rain

You dont, but he might. Which is most likely the logical reason why he ground his rims......

  4. Spoke to Vauxhall yesturday, will get the security code for my ecu tomorrow. Step towards enabling cruise control on my car. Anyeone know what else on an Astra G you need?

already have the Stalk, and the clutch arm already has a switch.....

  5. I got some new ones for free. They use INA bearings but I already got SKF ones. Job done in 10 minutes or less, if you have the right tools.

hes the kind of person who would rarther spend hours winging about it on trials forum, then spend 10 minutes contacting hope, who who send hime new bearings, where he could fit them himself, not winge like a little bitch and carry on riding......

  6. I don't see logical faults in my statements. I born and live in Russia. Climate of my city is not so warm (record low -55 C) and -30 are nothing special at winter. So I'm happy to use bikes, motorbikes and cars in this conditions. I and my friends have real experience of riding at winter at bicycles of any kind and we never had a single problem with bearings, sealed or not. NEVER.

I think you know that real experience>than any kind of theory?

    Also

    >Russia is far enough away from me not to have people like you bothering me all the time

this is how "The most civilized and humane people of the world" communicate? Lol.

Ethnic intolerance and some few other types of intolerance are a direct sign of a weak mind.

Not an Ethnic intolerance, just a 'Clerictgm' intolerance

  7. How the f*ck bearings on legendary HOPE hub may worn/break in 1 year? Even chineesish and shittish hubs for $5 doesn't have this problems.

nice to see you 'Not' trying to be a cock this time.....

Trials is abusive as hell, sealed bearings arnt indestructible. Contamination by water, grit, salt water, ect will rapidly shorten their lifespan.

For the price of bearings these days, are you really complaining that you have to spend £5 on hub bearings every year/year and a half?

  8. The "Funky" looking welding is just because of the light, It;s hard to make out but it's just the gusset under the top of the disc mount like most frames have.

Yeah the disc mount on this is about 10mm wide and looks loads beefier than the older style. He is also using 180's so should be cool :)

if he brought it off you, then its properly already f**ked!

  9. Always knew my neighbour did something pretty shady government-related, just been sat outside chatting and he's got an MP5, a Glock, full body armour and a pump-action shotgun in the boot of his car. Cool.

Who says its government related? :P

  10. I did test it haha.

Initially it didn't hurt at all, then it started to feel really freaky and uncomfortable and I had to keep adjusting myself whilst I went food shopping with my dad and he kept looking at me funny

i meant you snorting shaving foam :P

  11. short answer: no.

long one: disc and rim brakes have totally different hydraulic systems, disc is high pressure, low volume movement, rim brake the other way round.disc is semi-open,rimbrake closed circuit.

you'd end up with having virtually no lever travel and pad clearance, squishy pressure point.

i have a 2011 magura lever laying around you could use,not the best levers ever built but they work

thought it'd be the other way around? Disk brake levers use smaller diameter piston, so if you used it on magura slaves, you'd have lots of lever travel before it bit?
