  1. And once again, I've already excluded the bb. I'm able to reproduce the sound without force on the bb area. And without a bb altogether.
  2. I thought I was detailed enough in my description. Theres nothing on the frame anymore dude. Since I've posted I've even removed the bb. The frame is bare. With the dropouts on the floor wedged between my feet, I stuck a broom stick through the head tube and twisted lightly. I hear that same very faint tick coming from the bb area. I don't know if this has anything to do with anything but inside the bb, once side is welded from the inside but the other side is, well I don't even know what to call it.
  3. I had multiple click and tick noises after building up my Ozonys Cannibal V4. Some of the sounds came from a defective ISIS mount on my left crank. So I got it replaced and my bike was silent. But every once and a while I would hear a single very faint tick. So I pushed and pulled on my cranks, bars and fork and would hear it every once and a while but not in such a way that I knew what I had to do to reproduce it. So I wedged the back wheel between my legs and twisted the bars and I could reproduce it every time. So now I'm thinking it could be the headset or bars but the sound keeps coming from the center where the bb is. But in twisting the bars with the back wheel wedged between my legs, theres no force at all on the bb. So I took the bike apart. Removed the wheels, fork, headset and bb leaving nothing but the frame just to exclude my worst fear. With the dropouts on the floor wedged between my feet, I stuck a broom stick through the head tube and twisted lightly and there is it, that light tick coming from the bb area. Its the f**king frame. I've inspected it for cracks but cant find any. So now what? I don't know if I can send the frame back to Ozonys since I've powder coated it. And if I could they take ages to ship stuff and I probably wont get another one back until the summers almost over. I don't have a clue what it could be but I probably wont have a the confidence I need to really ride anyway. WTF :'(
  4. Looks like I'm going yellows. Anyone know if the CNC backing really makes a difference you can feel?
  5. Thats pretty much me. My neck shoulders and upper back on my left side which is my weaker side. From what I gather from the public experience I can start riding to my spots. Bunny hop curbs on the way, then start mild and increase gradually. I've also heard about the stretching thing being vintage medicine. Especially for sports requiring strong short bursts of muscle power.
  6. I know its hard to imagine as I couldn't imagine it myself but in 15, 20 years for some of you its actually not going to be that simple anymore.
  7. LOL as I said, I didn't warm up when I was 12 either. I'm hoping for some input from post puberty experienced riders.
  8. I usually do smaller moves then progressing to bigger things after I feel warmed up. But lately it seems I need to warm up longer and longer in order not to pull a muscle. I used to not warm up at all but I'll be 39 on the 7th of July and body isn't as forgiving as it used to be. So what do you do to warm up if at all?
  9. Nice! I love dual disc on 26" as well. And it seems I'm not the only one wrapping the steerer tube in carbon sheeting? Questions; what bash ring is that? And the pedal cage? Don't look stock to me. Did you make them? And I see you run your snail cams outside the frame. Can one do the same on any frame?
  10. Sexy! I remember that from instagram? Is that you?
  11. Did you say Adamant? A short recap of my bike history. I started building stealth bikes with my second trials bike when I powder coated my zoo pitbull. Adamant used to be my favorite I rode it for about 5-6 years. Sadly I don't have any better pics of it. Just this failed attempt at product photography. It was my third trials bike. Then I went all colorful but I had to sell this one for financial reasons. The fork was a bad decision anyway. And who knows how long the rear disc would have held up. I didn't ride for almost 4 years and this is what I built to reenter the sport. The frame was really flexy and I never felt secure on it. So I made some minor changes to lighten it up and finally had bike that felt good after so many years without wheels. Simultaneously I started drawing up the concept for the cannibal. Luckily I had buyers lined up for all the parts and frames I wouldn't need. I hope to ride the cannibal one at least as long as I did my adamant.
  12. I'm still waiting on a set of Heatsink Blueberry CNC pads. I'm not so much concerned about the color of the pads just the performance. Although if could powder coat or paint them I probably would :-P
  13. Yeah you've mentioned the two things on my mind. I have a carbon top cap bolt on the way and that link bothers me too. Its not bent yet but I'll be pressing a link in as soon as I get my tool. I know what you mean. The first scratch is always kind of ... liberating
  14. I tried wrapping it in one piece and ruined a strip. The weave itself deforms nicely but not the plastic I used to laminate. I'm experimenting with the leftovers to try and find a way to do a one piece rim tape. You can get silver fiberglass weave easy and much cheaper than carbon fiber.
  15. They're ok(ish) but maybe too soft. I ran them on my old bike with tar and found that it ripped out small chunks of rubber. So I filed them down and still trying them out without tar to see how they do. I'm waiting on a set of Heatsink Blueberry CNC pads to compare.
  16. Just finished my Ozonys Cannibal. My goal was to build the best compromise between street/trials and light/strong possible. I tried to keep everything stealthy black design wise. Decided to try something new using carbon fiber accents. I'm still getting used to it but its by far the best bike I've ever built. The geo is perfect for my riding style. Weight is 8.4 kilo. I've never ridden a bike this light and I didn't expect it to have such a big impact on my riding but O M G !!! Its very responsive and predictable. But I've had to drastically dial down the strength and body language I put into some moves because it gives back so much more than my old bikes. So far so good! Specs: updated 18/09/2014 Frame: Ozonys Cannibal V4 Frame Geometry: Wheelbase: 1055mm, BB Rise: 45mm, Head tube angle: 71.5° Front Wheel: Rockman 28 hole rim, Schwalbe Rocket Ron tire, custom carbon fiber weave rim tape, Trialtech Sport Light hub with ti bolts, Sapim 2.0/1.8/2.0 spokes, VIZ aluminum nipples, 2 cross half radial lacing Rear Wheel: Rockman 32 hole rim, Schwalbe Nobby Nic tire, custom carbon fiber weave rim tape, Trialtech Sport Light hub with ti bolts, Sapim 2.0/1.8/2.0 spokes, VIZ aluminum nipples, 3 cross lacing Drivetrain: Trialtech SL cranks, Trialtech single cage pedals with Stan titanium axles, Try-all Symetrik rock ring, Echo SL Freewheel, Trialtech SL bottom bracket, Trialtech 15t rear sprocket, KMC Z610HX chain, Clean snail cams Steering: Trialtech SL bars, Trialtech foam grips, Trialtech Sport stem with ti bolts, Trialtech SL Ti Topcap, Bonz Pro Light integrated headset, Trialtech Sport Light disc only fork Front Brake: Magura MT-2, 180mm Ashima ARO 08 Ultralight disc rotor, ti bolts Rear Brake: Magura HS-33r with Trialtech Y splitter, Heatsink CNC Yellow brake pads, Echo TR brake clamps, ti bolts Cut 0.2mm carbon fiber sheet, wrapped the steerer tube and cut out inlays for the frame. laminated real carbon fiber weave for rim tape. I think the jaf ring with the try-all no war crank bolts make a nice combo. I'm not too sure about the top cap though. Looked better in my mind... Building and bleeding these was the worst nightmare I've ever experienced in all my bike building years. The final product.
  17. I've noticed the same thing and I 'think' that should be correct for everyone. I'm guessing its a matter of physics. Thats why I chose the inspired bars. Up and backsweep is 1° less than the trialtechs giving me the same rise due to the wider width. Uncut they are exactly the width of my shoulders + fists.
  18. I don't remember where I got this but I've heard the rule is to measure the width of your shoulders plus your fists.
  19. The cranks issue is settled. Trialtech wrote sayin its an isolated incident and sent out a new one. And They don't do B grade stock.
  20. Well thats a relief. They were supposed to replace these. I've been waiting for them for months...
  21. Don't get me wrong, I'm willing to do what it takes and pay what it costs to get prototypes that are a perfect mirror of the original design. I'm not one to compromise with such things..
