Ah top shelf, had a bit of a play around looks like im after a 180 width X 135 height in general for the screen but will just buy the projector first then the appropriate screen after or get them both of a seller on ebay selling his old set up etc.
Also just to add, not going to be in much use as im at home about 5 months of the year,
Random fact i just learned : never turn the projector off at the mains as it doesnt allow time for the bulb to cool down and can reduce the bulbs life by 50 percent.
suppose its a similar concept to a turbo timer on a car? makes sense really.

Went out in Manchester kind of a last minute thing with not many turning up but had a proper good night for once.

there may be a load of self centered people that are jus like yeah stick your dick in it.. your possibly not one of those people cos you've already thought about whether its right or not, which means you will feel guilty. You should tell whoever she is with cos she isn't worth it.. then maybe..
That would almost definitely backfire.
Toughie, but id probably go for it and act ignorant.

I have also been though the "I want a projector stage" but then came to my senses and got an LCD flat panel!
Yeah like i say i have a 42" lcd and quite happy with it, but as its in my uni room i have no set up at home, and this seems the most cost effective way of getting what i want really.
Got one myself... I did have a Sony HD Projector, not sure on the specific model or anything, but it was just beamed onto a cream coloured wall, just over 6foot wide. Now I have an InFocus x17, lovely projector, great quality but just not HD, Spare bulb for them is £200, projector was £375 from projectorpoint.co.ukAlso 6foot onto a cream wall, bloody good quality, great for watching movies, playing games and everything on too. Combine it with my PA kit for DJing, 4kw rms, 8.5kw peak, and you certainly have home cinema.
Only thing to look at really is how much room you have, to get a decent size on a wall with a standard throw projectore you'll need it about 15 foot away. Unless you get short throw, then you can have it at about 5-10 for a huge image... hit me on msn for any info you need dude.

Thanks a lot for that, really helpful and optimisitic ha.
My rooms just a little over 18 foot long so hopefully that should accomodate a regular/smallish projector quite well?
Is there an ideal ratio to distance projected: size of screen? e.g if i went for a 100" screen should there be a specific distance to mount the projector to get optimum results?
Thanks to everyone for the information, probably looking to buy in around a month so will keep you all updated.

Just had a look on ebay, seems the specific projector backgrounds are very beneficial, can even get motorized ones too which would be pretty swell, just seems a lot more cost effective and a better novelty than another 42"lcd

Pretty much spot on, the only concern I have with drugs is that because they're illegal, there's no control over where it's come from, what exactly's in it, and what effect it will have.
I see your point, but its not in dealers interest to sell bad drugs, its bad for business, their safety and they dont need the bad reputation/attention towards them.
With pills for example there pretty consistent with their effects dependant on what you take, as theyre all marked differently e.g. audis, smurfs and love hearts etc, you usually get a a varying reaction from each. ive never had a bad one in my time and doubt i ever will, the numbers of bad reactions are very low
I'd agree, but because people think exactly the way you just stated 'drugs are bad cos its illegal, alcohol is fine because its legal' i'd have to say that, its not a fair test that apparently drugs do less harm than alcohol. If illegal drugs were made legal and everybody used them as much as they do alcohol, perhaps they would do more harm than what alcohol does?Again ive got mixed thoughts on this, legalisation on drugs would have its pros and cons, contradictory to my first post the drugs would be more consistent in their ingredients and effects etc but this would more apply to ketamin, cocaine, and cannabis i reckon where the amount of actual pure drugs can be reduced with coke for example.
However after an initial boom in the drugs economy if legalised, i doubt the trend would continue, people may become used to the freedom and ease of purchase of them and attatch less of a need for them.
I´m getting fed up of wanking.I need some action.
True that

Anyone got much experience?
I was considering getting a 32/42 lcd wall mounted around December but after seeing the quality of a decent projector at uni in a similar sized room to mine im quite interested in anyones experience/ problems with them.
id probably be getting one on ebay if i did and assume a white board/background would be very beneficial to the quality of the image too?
cheers

all my branded stuff has been tip top, cant really see in many ways how a watch would fail?
always accurate, all the straps have been fine and never had to change a battery, but havent really had each longer than a year without giving them away/losing them.
-
What you looking for? i had a nixon tiny that was quite nice but not so subtle, then had a d&g bracelet watch which was smart that i lost pissed up, now on a guess wide leather strapped watch, then getting a paul smith chronographic watch when i get some dough.
be more specific

This is going to sound stupid, but if you can wrap it in something pink then do it.
Royal Mail did a test, they sent 1000 "normal" jiffy bags to different address and 1000 pink bags to the same address.
About 100 of the "normal" jiffy bags went missing, NONE of the pink ones did.
The reason ?
People will always remember a bright pink bag, so they will take more care of it
to be honest i doubt that 1/10 parcels went missing with std jiffy bags, royal mail are pretty mint imo and their reputation is normally tarnished with morons that dont send things out on time and blame royal mail for the delay.

yeah similiar thing happened to me last year, dont be tempted to punch it off etc, £180 . . .

Dont think parcelforce will collect from a post office for you as theyre too different companies for a start?

Not too sure really looked on the sites and cant see such an option for either so might have just been a rumour.
Forgot to mention we were staying in the yellow bubble site at leeds in the very top corner and witnessed all the fracas involving the poo girl haaaa.

I went leeds thought it was absolutely mint, didnt get round many bands as for one not too many were to my taste and two my knee was causing me some grief.
Only spent like £20 there too but spent a few hundred in preperation and didnt eat all weekend.
definitely reccomend it but depending on the line up next year might just get a strictly camping ticket for £30 i heard?
