  1. just a note, its well easy to get a driving test on Fridays the 13th's :P

Haha yea i passed mine on Feb 13th last year. I also got my job on Oct 13th so i'm starting to think my life is backwards. I'm unlucky all year and lucky on unlucky days :S

  2. I once sold a pair of wheels on ebay, and they DID get lost in the post. I'm not sure if i packed them wrong, the printed address wasn't clear enough or what. But i got a form from the post office like number 41 or some thing. Filled that in, 2 months later they turned up. Luckily the person buying them was very understanding and just didn't leave feedback (N)

  3. I still use mine, i forgot i had it :"> its one of those things that just fades into the BG.

I did use it on my work PC for a while but i noticed that when working with either sql or superBASE indexing, searching or doing a simple select key takes it, it seems to lag the hell out of them. So i removed it.

My home PC is broke at the moment too so i haven't been 'folding' as much as i should.

  4. While we're here, is there any way to put a lock on a folder/file, so that you have to type a password to get at it?

I just use PGP. I have an image thats 80 Gigs and 256Bit Encrypted with two fish i think don't quote me on the style. But yea, i just double click the image and PGP adds like a 4th hard drive under 'my computer' that has the contents of the image in there. I use it mostly for my music and msn chat logs.

PGP Is the way forward, funnily enough there is an aplication 'folder lock' that puts a password on a folder but that is a simple windows service and can be stopped under Administraion Services. It was on some free CD i got donkeys ago

  5. I Agree with Bennifer, some people have msn quotes some times more then one. These are just as annoying as having an image if not some times more so.

The fact people can turn off signatures in control panel means its nether here or there weather they are allowed since people on 56k or who think there shit can turn them off. simple as that.

Although if they where animated gif's THAT would be annoying.

  6. Sorry to join in the massive bump, but my friend got his last wednesday, and the chain rubs in the rear triangle, on the top part of the triangle :)

Does that happen on yours too? Seems a bit stupid too design it so close that the chain rubs (Y)

He runs a KMC chain by the way.

Yea it happens to a friend of mine whos also on TF ( Phil18 ) rubs in the exact same place, also wheeling it out of the bike show (just pushing it along ) the freehwheel came undone and we had to carry it the rest of the way out. But yea chain slap was there too, the chain can be tight but theres so much flex it slacks the chain off making it slap. Im not sure if he fixed that, i havnt seen him ride for a week or so :)

  7. My Friend got them on his Tmag if they are the one's I'm thinking of. There not much better if at all different after trying them.

But thats on a smooth rim, so if they are meant for a rim with a grind, who knows? I will grind his rim and find out ;)"

  8. yeh i am aware that it is and why do you Have to have insurance ?

    dan

and what are the chances or tax?

As said, if its lost in the post you are covered by the insurace. It basicaly means that if it is lost in the post the seller can get the items value back. Shipping a 140 quid item from the US has chances of getting lost, thus being out of pocket big time.

As for chances of tax, a few people at work have ordered these and gotten away with it. I would say your about 1 in 5 chance of tax.

  9. Well i had to pay 28.50 TAX with Fed Ex, Also the shipping is 35 not 30. You are required to pay postal insurance with no opt out. Also the listing says

"This item has been re-boxed for postage and to include the UK adaptor. The iPod and most accessories are factory sealed"

but you do know they charge when docked with the PC, thus meaning no need for a UK plug.

*Note that the Ipod there is 3rd Gen with 4th gen being the newest.

  10. On the single speed tensioners page, you missed an F from the end of 'off'

Also if you hove over the white space that normally shows the text with your mouse the text shows. The on hover event thingy displays the text, that is annoying on the bash guard page since theres two different bits of information ment to be shown there at different times. (maybe its me)
