  1. Have been chatting to a couple riders about it, and most people at college are keen on me stopping. Really just looking for any general advice/help stopping?

Bought one of those cheapo £5 ecigs that look like a straight, and yeah it's helped so far but there's still the draw to rolling and smoking actual cigarettes. Anybody got any words of wisdom on what actually works/doesn't?

  2. Yeaaaah you can see the line his bike was attached to at 2:38. Not taking anything away from the guy, 200m up, with a line on his bike, not even on him? Nutter.

From what I can remember, you have eagle claw pro race front and back right? 20 and 19. They wear fast but they're actually quite a good street tyre, block uni directional tread, quite minimalist.

Nah bun tyres just run solid rims

Schwalbes are awful for trials. Plasticky is the perfect word to describe them! Definitely not a winter tyre, I had more faith in my Holly Roller when I ran that on the rear briefly.

Id definitely try hunt down a Swampthing or High Roller. My 40a High Roller had next to no tread left and still gripped like shit to a blanket in the wet.
Rode Shipley Glen in all weathers and it was predictable which instilled confidence.

Pad wise, I've never been able to fault TNN ADM's. Again, rode wet weather natural with lots of mud, grass, grit etc.. any pad is going to suffer in those circumstances but I knew what the brake would and wouldnt do. Just ride within the limits.

The 40A compound really is good. It was actually better as a near slick tyre as it never picked up any mud so always gave brilliant tyre to ground contact.

Exactly my set up hahahahaha TNNs and a highroller ;)

French Coust Pads or TriLite CNC backed green pads.

Maxxis Swampthing super tacky if you can get hold of one. If not probably a Schwalbe Fat Albert

Only problem with the Schwalbe compound is it's a bit plasticky - I'd defo try get hold of a Swampthing or if not a Highroller? Just make sure you get the 40a compound, although again that's easier said than done:/

Either were awful choices, the way I see it is that Trump has said a lot of things that just plain aren't going to happen (building a wall etc), I find it hard to believe he will be the brains behind the campaign.......I think he's got a whole team and they decided exactly what he should do and say to be shocking and get attention but once things settle in, they'll hopefully calm down and actually be more rational, Trump was just the front man.

Never in a million years did I think Trump could ever be a consideration, I still hate the guy and I think America is pretty f**ked up for those two being the final choices! Sanders seemed like a nice guy.

I still don't get why Michelle didn't go for it after her husband - I think the world would have been better off without Hillary and/or Trump as leaders of one of, if not, the world's largest superpower. Nice one :/

I've slowly been bumping the pressure up over the past couple of months as I've been trying bigger stuff, it does take a bit of getting used to, but certainly wouldn't be running them less then 40psi now. I don't think they pinch 'that easy', we're saying they pinch every now and then (as every tire does). I used to pinch my high rollers / der Kaisers at 20 psi regularly, so it can happen with any tyre.

Yeah fair play, it's tgs mainly rather than comp, but from my experience on other's bikes they even grip on wet mossy ledges, best for grip by far I reckon

Not on everything, and i dont usually run 50 for long its way too hard. Its usually rolling gaps with sharp edges to be fair, but i am put off doing some stuff just because i think im going to get a flat. Probably technique as well, im not smooth on landing gaps. Just when i ride with @Paperclip, you see how much abuse his tyre takes, dual ply would make sense.

If they pinch this easy at 40-50psi what'd they be like at 25 odd? I'm only a scrawny kid and weigh next to nothing, but if they're that much hassle at a higher psi are they just going to pinch every 2 seconds on a tgs/comp rig?
