I like it but not as much as I liked the blue model and would agree that in the image the colour looks quite similar to the previous flow but then the new Hex looks very different in person compared to the images of it...
Which blue one are you talking about? The newer greyer one or the imaginate deep blue one? Personally I think either the deep blue or the orange was the best as they kind of stood out from the other bikes. Yellow has been done a lot before on the old elements, flows and fourplay so so it doesn't seem as special. Also it's interesting they kept the name. Considering Danny left I thought they may have changed the name as it doesn't really relate to him any more, but fair play to inspired still giving credit to Danny for the bike.

Not quite the beutiful priceless carbon beast but it's still pretty cool, and will still leave a hefty hole in your wallet. Personally not sure about the yellow as it looks a bit too much like the flow, thoughts, opinions? Also, has Fabio left inspired? (Not listed on team athletes...mabey specialised will be releasing a trials bike, never know...)

Thanks for the help. I've already got it through the steerer though with inspired d's top cap, it was more the drilling bit I was unsure of. I know it's been done on MTB frames but as for trials I'm not sure.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has ever done any sort of modification to a standard fork to make it fully internal routing. Not just through the steerer tube but also down the fork leg and out to the calliper. I was considering doing some hole drilling but I can't work out if it's genius or completely idiotic. Any advise or past experience would be gratefully accepted? Thankyou!

Super nice bike and all but how on Earth is that seat staying still?

Wouldn't advise it. http://www.epicbleedsolutions.com/blog/dot-brake-fluid-vs-mineral-oil/ That page basically says mineral oils are not regulated so there are lots of differences between each brand. Also if you have any kind of warranty it will probably be voided. Worth about £5 to buy the royal blood. Plus it looks cool.

Nah, you want hydrogen, less dense than helium and if bored you can make a flame thrower by letting out some pressure.

Okay, did the coin flip, got purple, bought purple. I'm hoping purple won't show up dirt, chips and other shit like orange may.

Can't go wrong with orange.
The thing is I've had orange BMX's in the past and they look good but I don't know if I want to take a risk and go for something else. First world problems.

How much is it actually rubbing by? Does the wheel not move at all or is there just a lot of friction from it? If it is the second one then you could just spin the wheel for a while and let the disc sort of eat away at the caliper. Might weaken it but it may be better then grinding down bolts a lot which could snap and leave you in a tricky position. Or carefully grind or file down the edge of the disc so it doesn't rub. Best of luck anyway.

PS for those who don't like Ryan Taylor...
That was kind of enjoyable! It's people like him who give bikers a bad name. Not only is he going round pissing people off for no reason other than views, he is inspiring all the kids who watch his videos to do the same. Why can't he spend his time making a sweet edit instead of jumping into swimming pools, or breaking into theme parks. Shame.

24" happened and ruined trials.....
No no no no, quite the opposite. 24" provided a way into trials that was much more natural for lots of people. Mountain bikers and BMXers could look at the bikes and relate to it in a way. It looks more like their bikes so that are more enclined to buy one. As for the 'traditional' style. That was completely alien to those guys, they looked completely bonkers and just we're not as functional so BMX and MTB guys were not as interested. 24" has brought so many new people to trials, and has defiantly played a huge part in making it more well known thanks to social media. All the 'traditional' bikes are still out there, there is just lots more 24" in the sport. Which is AMAZING!

Yep, anyone with half a brain could work out its a Santa Cruz Carbon trials frame/fork/rims...
Heard through the grape vine he's working on a San Fran edit as a welcome to the team video for SC. Heard some other stuff too that ill keep shtoom about for now.
Exciting times! I sense another viral edit coming.

Most likely a prototype in development that Danny is helping to develop. Thought he had some kind of deal with inspired for trials bikes though, presumably this ties in with whatever deal he has with santa Cruz. Guess this was just a taster and more details will be on their way. Also spotted last night he had bust his knee cap. Ouch.
Is it possible he is leaving inspired to only ride for SC? He doesn't have the inspired decals on his bike, they are not listed on his Instagram? Have to wait and see I guess. Bet the broken knee is going to sore aswell.

Brakes - Which are best?
in Trials Chat
Posted
Hi, so currently looking at a brake change on my trials rig. Currently running hope tech 3 trial zone with v2 200mm rotors front and rear. I've only ever used hope but I've found parts are expensive, the feel is not very consistent (despite having new fluid and fully bled) and the levers are a bit clumpy. I was wondering what brakes people think are best for street trials? I was trying to stay away from mt7 due to the price. I saw John langlois runs the mt4 and seeing what he can do I assume they are decent (and cheap)? Also is shimano Saint still a contender? And mabey another brand?! If could suggest a good replacement I would be very grateful. Thanks
