  1. Yeah carbon i hugely strong. People seem to think because it powders when it's damaged it has to be weak, it isn't.

As for using on a chainring yeah its a good idea. Think how far they race and it still comes down to hundreths of a second at the finish line, it really is true when they say every gramme makes a difference

  2. I was just really pissed off that the frame had only lasted about 5 months before devolping a crack and the forks flex about an inch each way but to be fair it is a cheap frame and very cheap forks (tuf guys).

I think i will be going for either the Woodstock or the rex Woodstock spec and just being trialsless for a while.

Just need to decide on wether i want a more UCI type bike which i think i do really.

Chrisatactiv05- I'l have a think and let you know this evening. Do you have a rough price on it?

I'l also give bikedock a call and see if they the rex 'woodstock' or woodstock in full builds as they only have the spec 1 and 2 rex on the site.

Cheers for all the suggestions (Y)

I'm quite happy now i have a reason to replace the old raptor he he

  3. I'l have a word with them tommorow. I doubt they will be able to get any trials bikes in.

Halfords do Koxx and a couple of others so i might go for a look there.

I'm very tempted by a Woodstock but i'm not sure.

I've lost any remote respect i had for Onza in the last hour or so (Y)

Tempted to see what Clive (i think its Clive (Y) ) at Leeson could do.

Maybe if i could save up £400 i could just buy all the bits on credit.

Reckon a clear with like a 1060- 1080 wheelbase would ride ok?

  4. Right, my T-craptor has well and truly died now with the addition of back brake, mech and 4 bolt mount to the list of broken bits. The frames cracked and theres a few other bits so its pointless replacing stuff.

I've decided i'm going to have to buy a new bike but i'm not sure what and i'm going to have to get it on credit which i'm guessing will narrow my options but means money is less of a problem.

I'm after a bike suitable for street and natural, maybe leaning more towards natural but i really don't know what to get.

Has anyone bought anything on credit and if so where from. Also any suggestions on bikes/ builds would be appreciated.

Do Tarty bikes do credit?- Guessing not as theres no mention on the site and they are a fairly small bussiness but.......

cheers- a very pissed off Chris :ermm:

  5. looking good mate.

Whats the verdict on the new cwmcarn track?

The e13 bash is meant ot take impacts better. Its actually lexan based not glass and comes in owt between 22th on 52 or summat stupid like that so i'm guessing the 22 will be suitable for trials (Y) (or very slow downhillers (Y) )

  6. You up for getting a group to meet up and have a big session up there nearer spring/summer?

The crags run for like 6 miles so theres no shortage of riding but its a bit pointless at this time of year since we don't all have spiderman-like abilities to stick to rocks :(

  7. Was it just me or were those rocks not slippy?

If that was me id be all over the place. :(

Mate those rocks are like ice. Anyone who thinks its not good to watch should get themselves down to Stocksbridge then try and say its not good.

I was quite surprised to see bash marks in the middle of Wharncliffe crags last time i went up, n theres me thinking i had my own secret playground :D

You been further along in to Wharncliffe?

Theres a sweet spot next to the top of one of the DH runs and some more stuff round deepcar. Quite a drag on a trials though whichever end you park at

  8. Ok cheers guys, i thought it probably would kill them but its worth checking.

I was using the citrone oil before and it seemed to be ok but my trials has been stuck upstairs for months and somehow the hoseings got caught on something and pissed all the oil out (N)

  9. Will it kill the seals or will it be ok? I know your meant to use blood oil but i'm skint and i've got loads of 5.1 that i use for the dh bike so i'd rather use that than water or veggie oil etc. if i can.

  10. Yeah its fair play really but it also means all the little kids that bum CLC etc get more involved- good if they are serious but the majority are annoying and will loose interest after a few months. Its also annoying when they don't have to pay for or earn their parts when theres much better riders working their asses off just to keep their bikes running.

Anyway rant over, the hub looks pretty mint despite it looking much like several other hubs on the market.

As long as it works and it lasts who cares if its a common style

  11. Cable-tie an old tyer to it.

    (Y)

Have you done that or was it just a suggestion? I can't imagine it doing much against dints really- obviously stop scratches but i wouldn't expect it to hold up against impact.

If you've tried it and it works fair-play, not trying to suggest your lying if it came across like that.

I'm struggleing to string sentences together today ^_^

  12. The first 3 episodes are online already if you know where to look

Its ok there will be repeats until next year anyway. I'd fall in to being either a fan/ sad if i downloaded the new ones

  13. Theres a new series starting next year :S

Ryan will come back probably- hopefully get back with that mischa barton bird so she'l still be on it plenty then that curly haired dude will get back with the brown haired bird- so she'l be on plenty and we can all sit "looking" at the fine ladiiiiies for an hour again  OOO i can't wait lol.

:edit: Its a bit worrying the only characters name i know is a guy
