  2. i guess people don't download videos anymore. someone on otn helped me upload the video to vimeo. enjoy
  3. Last video on the slate for me. no vimeo streaming for this one, since the file size is really big. Right Click here and Save Target As There's also a bunch of other videos that i didn't bother posting on here. you can find them under my user. *edit* vimeo link!
  4. just to be clear, you do realize that i'm not the one riding the 20" in the video right? the place is called cauffield park. it's located in west vancouver in canada. probably my favorite place to ride.
  5. Chris and I had a lot of fun shooting this video on my new sony xr500 camera (no more point and shoot!). It's nice to be able to zoom in and out smoothly, and the camera is really steady. vimeo
  6. My riding is extra sloppy in some parts of the video. I bailed doing something stupid and my wrist has been bothering me ever since. vimeo
  7. I'm not really sure how to answer that question. There is a lot of awesome natural spots to ride here, and the trials scene is definitely growing. However, i don't think big group rides happen very often here. We all have a small group of riders that we stay with, just because of where we're located, and our skill levels. Sometimes it seems that trials riders are very spread out, and each group lives a bit too far from each other to really ride together.
  8. i can't really go much bigger than what i'm doing in the videos. i'm not sure why everyone thinks im not trying!
  9. my first video on the slate. the video is 7 minutes and 48 seconds long. file size is 285mb. http://www.vimeo.com/5371863 music by wintersleep and spinerette

  11. I'm posting this now so I don't have to wait till I get home to post. There is still 20 minutes left in the conversion (maybe it's done by the time you're reading this) Vimeo Had a chance to ride with Aran a while back, and I forgot about these clips. Finally got around to uploading them on vimeo. We had a lot of fun riding with Aran, and he was able to teach me a thing or two. It was amazing how comfortable aran was with rails! The first and last part of the video are just compilations of extra clips I had laying around. Enjoy
  12. my rear brake set up : echo SL brake echo tr mount trialtech carbon booster phatpad cnced backing brake pads
  13. i've uploaded a bunch of short videos with no music since the last time i've posted anything in this forum. you can find them at my youtube page : http://www.youtube.com/user/observedtrials
  14. urban : natural : http://vimeo.com/4119001 the riding in the natural video was a little bit sloppy for my taste. it was filmed 7 in the morning, and the rocks were super slippery. the footage also was not compressed very well. this is the first time i've youtube for hd clips. i think instead of collecting clips and making longer videos, i will just put out shorter clips more frequently. youtube HD seems just as good, if not better than vimeo for quality. however, i can't upload any video edited to music this video was shot on my new canon sd780. i am quite impressed with the quality. i actually think the image quality is comparable to my sony sr11, which costed 4 times as much, and was too big to just put in my pocket when i move around. click the HD button in youtube to view the video in high def
  15. that's right. so far they work amazing. thanks for the positive comments
  16. do you have any good natural to ride near you? if so, i'd spend all my time there.
  17. HUUUUGE thanks to Graham at midwestbiketrials.com, Aki at trialspads.com, and Kevin Chen from worldcat. Graham was really patient with my order and shipping. Props I will post a review on the specialized clutch sx tire after i spend a little more time on it, but after the first ride, i'm convinced that this will be a very good tire. The Echo SL rear rim is pretty heavy at 780g, but it will only need to last me for the next 3 weeks, until my new worldcat single wall rims (try all hole anyone?) arrive. not sure how accurate this scale was, but here's the weight of the bike without the front rotor and rotor bolts the specs : Frame : Echo Control 2009 short Fork : Trialtech Stem : Trialtech 120x17 Bar : Zhi 7075 headset : Echo SL Front Brake : Magura Louise FR 180mm with Ashima rotor Rear Brake : Echo SL with Echo tr mount (no plastic spacer), rock pad blue (soon to be phatpad cnc), and Trialtech carbon fiber booster Front Hub : Worldcat Front Rim : Neon Pro (497g) Fr Tire : Continental Speed King 2.1 Rear Hub : Echo SL 135mm with 16t cog Rear Rim : Echo SL rear spray painted white R Tire : Specialized Clutch SX 2.3 Bottom Bracket : Neon Titanium Cranks : Try All 170mm Freewheel : Rockman 72pt Bashring : Echo SL Pedals : Wellgo Mg-1
