  1. Planning on setting up my own small t-shirt range, with some designs that i am working on with a fellow designer.

I have my webstie on the build, only thing i am lacking at the moment is an experienced t'shirt printer.

I'm hoping someone on the forum is, or knows someone that could help me out.

    Thanks

    tom

  2. I genuinely hope you get your money mate, but there is a very strong scent of bullshit in the air.

The money does come, just takes around a month.

It's considered bad netiquette to pedal referral links on forums.

I am not trying to pedal, simply inform.

Hense why i offerd the alternative link.

  3. just had a brain wave to create a bad parts thread, what do you think?

bought anything and is so bad or broken easily say here and say why, to advise other riders not to use/buy them.

right lets start with a simple one, magura black pads due to not having good stopping power.

sorry if this is a bad idea or its been done already.

i like the idea, but alot of things are personal preference or depend on your set-up, or bike etc... the list of variables is endless.

I bought a £1 love heart bell from wilkinsons, and it broke on my first ride sad.gif.

Also any chain other than something heavy duty. e.g. kmc cool, kollapse etc. Otherwise it will snap at the wrong time, mostly lilkley when you put the most pressure on it e.g. big gap. and it will hurt.

  4. Can't find anyone else on the forum who has said about this site, but it is a really great way to earn free cash, when buying goods online.

If your like me you deicde you want something, then search around the for cheapest price. Quidco has a link with most big websites, so its well worth a look before you buy something, as you could be missing out!

For example I have just signed up to virgin media, £65 quid cash back.

You get £10 cash back for your first tesco shop online.

One of the best uses I have found which has literally saved me hundreds, is renewing your car insurance though quidco.

Go compare for example give you £1.50 just for completing a quote, you don't even have to take out the policy.

E-bay give you 40% of thier fee profit, when you make a purchase.

The new system they have now introduced is, whereby you can earn cash back for each person you get to sign up.

This is my link to the My link site, which gives me cash back for you signing up: http://www.quidco.com/user/496604/16013

Be nice if you did sign up though me, but If you don't want to, or don't trust me, the normal site address is just - www.quidco.com

Im up the £250 pounds in cash back now see if you can beat that ! :)

    Tom

  5. At least you're honest! If you enjoy it, fair play. As for the holding its value thing, I'm not really sure about that. What happens when fixies become untrendy in a year or so?

Wait. A quick wiki has found three main advantages:

    1. Can ride backwards

    2. Apparentley develop's a good pedaling style if used with a small cog

    3. Is good for track stand's.

    :)

Which none of them i actually care about, but there they are!

Becoming untrending is a posiability, but it's 80's so i'm hopeing the fact it's abit of a classic + they may come more in to fashion.

Slight gamble, but with all those advantages who would'nt want one... >_<

  6. name='Tomm' post='2061255' date='Jan 14 2010, 06:07 PM']I'd ask for some decent pictures first of all. Dunno about you, but I can't even see what colour it's supposed to be let alone condition.

Fair point, yea i'm going to have a look at it tonight, and will check the condition out.

Is there another reason for buying a fixie? For what it's worth, I think it looks rubbish :turned:

Not sure there is any other reason you would to be honest!

  7. Basically looking at buying a road bike, to ride around town, and this just caught my eye, as it is local.

Hopefully it will be quite fast around town? To be honest my theory behind buying it is beucase i think it look's good, and hopefully won't loose to much value if i keep it in good order.

I know abit bikes in gernal, but don't have a clue about prices for this sort of thing.

bike is posted on the ctc forum here: http://forum.ctc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=32...t=fixed#p257934

and lots and lots of pictures on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/28525178@N08/...57623032894390/

was asking £275. he has come down to £260 already.

only thing i have noticed is that the tyres look quite worn, but im not sure if that level of wear is ok for a road bike?

If anyone has any adivce on the bike, or a clue what it is worth, would value your opinion.

    Thanks Tom

  8. Awwwww, that's really cute.

    04012010019800x600.jpg

Built mine myself, just awaiting the delivery of a new driver and reflex port and it should hopefully shake the house/street a little bit. :D

Look's like that will make more than street move!!!

What sorta price has that set you back ?

Also what amp have you got it hooked up to ?

Thinking about a similar sort of venture myself

  9. riding spots = none. so good choice there, well done :P

If you want to ride, come to swansea, where theres EVERYTHING. Same amount of fit girls (huge percentage, huge breasts etc), much more riding, and an awesome night life

Cardiff night life is pretty damn mint tbf, you wont be bored there put it that way. The uni's really good too, its just riding spots that let it down :(

Thank's for that, kinda half riding atm, but not really getting much time at home.

Ok great, will drop you a PM when i am down there from a ride sometime...

  10. Moving there in September for university. I know there is already a uni thread but it looked a little dead!

Looking to see what people feel about the city, and any advice you have for living there.

Main things I need to find out are: riding spots? student night life? places to avoid ?

Anything else you feel I should know, or experiences, would be great.

    Thanks Thomas

  11. Basically looking to get some ice hockey kit from the US sent to the UK, but the supplier will not send it direct.

I need a middle man, who will be willing to receive the parcel and send it straight on to the UK.

Ideally someone who lives in the USA or Maybe Canada. Or Maybe a forum meeber who is traveling over there soon?

Let me know if you are interested, will be some added cash on top as well from your troubles :)

    Regards Thomas

  12. james porter made a vid ages ago riding a mbk frame, just wondering if anyone knew where to see it or could send me it?

    ta, martin.

    best bet, is Ben Rowlands.

He published a load of videos on Trialstube of Swindon riders , will have a look now and try and get you a link...

    EDIT: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....c=98695&hl=

this was the topic, but it seems the videos are no longer there, probly worth dropping Ben a PM , see if he still has them knocking around

  13. Basically, i have to send my college app off ASAP, but want to know what subjects are worth doing is worth doing. I have decided I'm taking mathematics, biology, ancient history and can't decide on the fourth. Given the current economic situation, would i benefit in a more academic subject(e.g a second science), or something more needed in today's society (e.g ICT).

Oh, and i have no idea what i want to do as a career, so just trying to keep my options open.

    Any help would be amazing,

    Nathan

    You going new collage ?

From what i know those are hard subjects, but i would advise making sure you pick 4 , as alot of poeople drop a subject and only do 3 in the secound year. That way you keep your options open. Your taking business at the moment right ? I would advise taking that, as it is not that much of a big step up at AS level at all (comapred to other subjects) and will give you more time, as those three will be a challange!

  14. Anyone on here seems to be all against T-Uk , I just want to show that there is another side to the arguement.

I have orderd from dan many times, and never had any problems with his service.

His price's in many cases are cheapest on the market , and his postage rates also are very fair.

Admitdly i have never had to return anything!

I accept that in your case he is in the wrong , and you have every right to demand your money back , although t-uk is not all bad!!!

    xxx

  15. Well nice, peaceful sounds track was rather cool aswell , was not expecting it but gave the video a sorta mellow , relaxed feel!

Think i am like everyone else to be honest, looking forward to seeing video 08 if there are "rubbish clips" :D
