I'll be honest, i think your reaction to this guy asking you to move on was a little immature. I can see his point with him not wanting you to ride there, from what i heard you were outside his shop and at the end of the day he's only trying to run a business. Apart from that he was a bit of a twat, there was no reason for him to start kicking off pushing people, he should have just rang the police. Not just a twat, a stupid twat, why did he think he could start pushing a gang of lads around???

Nice, i know you don't need to use one but I'm in the second year of my apprenticeship doing engineering and all the guy's at work see it as bad practice by not using a lockring!

Rang my local bike shop and they said i would need to use a lockring, i didn't think you would have to be they seemed to think it was neccesary.

When putting a fixed cog onto my tensiles do i need to use a lock ring?

Yeah, i'm already singlespeed just have an 18T cog on't rear. Think i'll just buy one, cheers guys, Oliver

Hi, i'm chainging my front chainring so need a new rear sprocket. I've been looking at a cassette and have noticed all the cogs are pinned together, i could either knock these pins out or if that fails spark erode them out, would using one of these sprockets be suitable? Has anyone ever done it?

Go for it, if you can't helicoil it just tap it to M6. If it doesn't last just buy a new stem!

Basically, i've been living with my girlfriend and her parents for the last year and a half, been going out 2 and a half years, got kinda sick of her and have finished with her tonight. I don't regret going out with her and am releaved that we have broken up but i can't help but feel crap about it... I don't love her anymore but she has said she still loves me, i feel horrible for doing this to her. The worst thing is that everyone is glad i've finished with her, that makes me feel worse!!!! Ah well, back to sleeping at my mums in a single bed with no-one to hug or wake up to. I feel bad, but good at the same time. Arghhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Sorry if this has been a stupid rant but i just needed to get it off my chest for a bit, even if it's only for 15 minutes.

How many teeth does the rear cog have? And where can i get all this from? Tried tartybikes, can't find the chainring? What gear ratio would i need to run?

Hi guys, I'm currently running tensile cranks with the normal bashguard and 22T chainring. The gear ratio i use is 22-18. I wouldn't mind running a smaller chainring up front and the uci bash you can buy, running a more uci style gear ratio. So i need to know: 1. What bash and chainring can i buy and where from, for a more uci style gear ratio? 2. What gear ratio can i run, when using a uci style bash and where can i get a rear chainring to suit? cheers, Oliver

Certainly is, i'm loving it though! I'm sure it's made me ride better just because i know it's on there!!! Nope, i'd handmade a steel one, just temporary, that only went over the top two bolts. It was only 3mm thick and this one is lighter! Lol, ok, cnc made but designed at home!

Lol, a fair few but i only get half an hour and it was the designing that took longest, kept changing my mind on what looked good. As soon as the design was done i just wacked it in the CNC miller and hey presto!

Her we go guys, have been designing and making this booster at work in my dinner time and it's finally done! It's 10mm thick aluminium, nothing fancy but it's my first one, next thing is gonna be a rigid chain tensioner, will post when thats done! The booster. Full bike. Tell me what you think!
