  1. I don't believe in such thing as a "beginner bycicle", it doesn't have an engine, you already have total control over it from the start. the only issue can be the budget and choices like chassis and wheel size, but what they call beginner bikes is only because they are cheaper, but it's totally fair to get an expensive bike as a beginner if your budget allows it, as a matter of fact I'd highly recommend to get a super pro bike from the beginning if you have the money for it and already know you're gonna love it (like for example I started on my brother MTB and when I learned rear wheel hops I was sure I was gonna love trial and it was true). only thing I'll tell you is that if you're still very young and aim to become the best in the world then you should maybe start with a trash bike, this way you'll have to work a lot on technicque and when you'll get a proper bike you'll be able to jump to the moon. but if you think it's too late then this would just be a waste of time.
  2. there aren't a lot of places to do natural riding in my zone, plus I think it's a little more difficult than street, and it won't even be my style as I'm much of a street rider (even though I'd love to have a more trial style). on the motorcycle though I ride only natural because it's illegal to go on street.
  3. on my bike I have the maxxis holy rollers, I love that they have coloured writing on them. but I've just started street trial so I can't feel the difference between tyres (and never even had the chance to) but looking at what they are saying about the holy rollers I might consider buying another tyre next
  4. I've been in a similar situation with my dad's beta rev 3, he bought it in 2004 but forgot which year plastics he put on. I simply googled every year of production of the Rev 3 until I found it had 2006 plastics and graphics. unfortunately though, montesa unlike beta doesn't change the bike graphics every year so this method won't be precise. Another option could be asking on reddit on r/trials. even another option is looking at the chassis numbers, montesa should have a page in their website were you put in the chassis numbers and it gives you all of it's documentation, or at least the website of beta usa has it. could you please attach a image of the handlebar? you're lucky to have found a motorcyclist like me here.
  5. a while back I posted asking advices on my first trial bike, in the end I went for this onza zoot pro. In the pictures it looked like trash but I found out that the first owner had installed great components and the guy that sold it to me knew nothing about it. also I found out that I have a more street style, so I'm glad I got this street trial and not the echo. anyways I have now got the hang of it and I'm looking to buy some proper gears. Jitsie seems the best brand, but it's lacking some infos. first of all do the bair4ce shoes wear tight, large or normal? if I have a size 42 should I get a 43? Then about the gloves I am perfectly between size M and L, should I get an M and let it stretch a bit or an L but with the risk of it slipping (G3 jitsieart)? What are the sizes of shinguards? I've only seen on Recklessbike they say the size adult is 30cm, but there are two sizes of it. the only protection I already have is dainese mx3 elbow guards in size S/M, should I get the same size of shin guards? and very important question, won't they rip when hitting the sharp pedals since they're soft? I'm always scared that soft protections will rip, that's why I usually prefer rigid ones. and lastly about the C3 solid camo helmet what do the graphics look like on the right side? every picture I see is only the left side. sorry for asking so many questions, it's just how I write, and I want to be sure about the purchases.
  6. I've been looking for my first street trial and the best option is a onza zoot pro that's black with purple graphics, but I've heard that zoots often break the chassis under the seatpost, is this right? In case I shouldn't rely on that zoot would I be able to do street trial on a echo mark 5 that's the second option?
  7. I've always wanted to do street trial, but never had the bike, I only have my dad's trial motorcycle that got me into the trial disciplines and an old MTB and I can do surplace and a few rear wheel hops on it. Now I wanted to get myself a street trial to do things properly but the thing is I'm really on a small budget and the best offers I found were for a onza zotta pro (black and purple) and a echo mark 5, both in the picture and both for £335. If I want to do primarly street trial should I go for the onza that's a proper street trial but seems very old or should I go for the echo that's a bike trial but it's in literally perfect conditions? Also could someone explain to me what's the difference in wheel sizes? (I'm 1,68m tall)
