  1. Manus, Aurem, Slate, Maladie, Kortz... I'd say 'random' would probably be one way to describe their naming choices :P

Nice to see that you didn't include switch in there  I named that!

But no, despite the fact that I do live on a farm, the tractor was nothing to do with me. Do love it though! Hope it's a bit lighter than a tractor though!

  2. Yeah, thats about the same time that I started. There were two complete routes - beginner and novice routes were copletely separate to the rest, meaning they needed 16-20 observers, not just 8 or 10!

This was also better for both routes, as they didnt need to find easy stuff for the novices next to elite sized rocks if you get me. I'm not saying that it should go back to this as I dont see that happening, but only being able to provide observers for 7 sections is a poor show. Step up people, without the helpers it wouldn't happen!

Big thanks to my Dad for observing for all those years!

  3. Im sure you did just forget Ali, but it got to a point where too many people were turning up expecting a ride, so the organisers quite rightly got sick of this. Hence why the rules were changed and this went out on numerous newsletters.

Anyway, won't say anymore, I don't want to stir.

    Thanks

  4. Couldnt you have bolted a brake on your bike somehow? then at least it was there. No one's forcing you to use it, so just dont. Perhaps you could have been prepared for this just in case??

Also, gutted I couldnt ride today, the weather was probably great and I'm sure it was an awesome comp :( Hopefully back for the first round of the british championships

  5. Yeah, its such a versatile frame. I've been jumping on mine recently, and riding the 4x track. I still use the same set up (wide bars and longish stem), the only thing i have changed is the front chainset to gear it up. Its rides well and is so much fun! You do get a few funny looks with the trials otherwise trials set up and drilled rims!

Managed to dislocate my collarbone on it yesterday though, ...Doh!

  7. I think Onza are planning on focussing on parts of the brand at a time, in the same way that every other year Deng sorta does parts then frames then parts then frames, and so on.

That's a fair point, but then why aren't they focussing on 26" NOW? Its a large part of the market which they seem to have neglected. They came out with all of those Pro series frames, but the only 26" one was the limey3 which, lets face it, was a bit of a flop when it eventually came out.
