  1. While were on the subject of not using less important bolts and bike parts.

You can run 3 disc bolts, less pedal pins there just heavy, get a drill and drill out all useless alloy on your bike, and change all steel parts for ti or alloy.

Once you have all this done you will have saved the weight that kept your bike reliable, now go fix your bike.

  2. Yep I use one bars one Lid light. I find the lid only can bounce so much on rough terran that you get blackouts every now and again, with the addition of the more stable bar light those blackouts are filled in with the bar light, but cant ride without a helmet light as it allows you to see down drops, jupms and round corners.

When the fog gets really thick you can only run the bar mount as the high lid mount will render you blind

  3. Sound then I shall start running my Shimano cranks without the tension screw also, its the same as the top cap thing.

P.s try this and you will loose your left crank, much the same to your headset will come loose quick or overtime if your lucky.

Just get an alloy stem top cap bolt?

  4. I missed a good tip sometimes the air bubbles get trapped so give the hose and caliper a few taps now and again while you have the lever tied up.

This way you should be able to get all the air out of the rear brake.

I always was under the impression the rear was usualy more spongy because there was more surface area in the system to trap air, so more air made the brakes more spongy.

As the hoses are rated to take upto 3000psi and bike hydraulic brakes run much less Than that so don't really flex or expand.

My brakes seem as though they are no different front or rear.

  5. Tie the lever to the bar with the brake pressed on and rest the bike on its back wheel so the rear brake hose is all facing up from the rear caliper to the lever. I find putt I Ng the bike on the back wheel and leaning it against a wall works.

Doing this makes any air bubbles in the brake compressed and the smaller bubbles will travel to the highest point hopefully into the lever resevoir after a few hours.

Once you have done this refill the resevoir.

    Should feel better.

  6. Now i really really want to get an enduro trial race sorted out at lee quarry.

All this year I have been thinking an event at lee quarry using the enduro sections and a few trials sections on the climbs.
