what, so your dad charges £80 an hour + materials???
No wonder it's a small business!!
Nah, i get half the profit, and the total cost of the job is split into 3. One third goes into the maintenance and buying inks/parts etc. and the other 2/3'rds is split between me and him. So its like £180 for a 10,000 sheet job.
Its only a small business because its a small garage
.

Just sand it down to remove the scratches and use nitromors to remove the lacquer over the rest of the frame. Polsih it up and then re-spray it with lacquer and it'll be as good as new.

My dad runs a small print company from our garage. I help him out and get half the profit. Its alright, boring as hell but it pays really well. £60 for an hour and a halfs work isn't bad at all

Done it! I used a title cutting blade at full speed and just let it rest it's own weight on the bottle. Everything was taped up really tight, tape split as i was tapping it it up. I made one and it came off clean pretty much. 3 tiny crack have formed but only in the top! Super gule has been used. Well Crayonlate thin toxic stuff but has filled them up and will stop them! Just found some clear acrlic spray in the atic so i have just given the bottle a cost misting with that to seal the labels. Will do it again once its dryed a bit. As for edge protection i'm using some 1/2'' hose that was spear form my water cooling on my pc! Cut a V in the corner so one length can be use. Some stone in the base to weight it down then fill with water add blue red blue flowers (his army unit colors) and take it down. Nice little tribute for him i think!
Sorry guys i know i risked a lot, lossing the bottle or hurting my self but i really wanted to do this for him. Even though we hadted each other, never had anyhting in comen and fight cat and dogs.
RIP brv you bugga
Will post pics one it's dry
No way, i didn't think a grinder would be capable of doing it. I would have suggested using something like a tile cutting tool with the super thing diamond blade and the water jet to stop the glass heating and cracking and to stop the dust becoming airborne.
Guess its too late to mention it now though, well done for managing it.

If you go to the scrapyard you could probably find a better frame than that and they'll let you have it for about a tenner. Thats going to be horrid to ride for trials. And am i the only one that thinks sawing the seatube off, setting the brakes up and fitting new grips doesn't really merit being called "an achievement".... its like 30 minutes work. And they're changes that aren't really noticable. Sorry to sound synicle but i honestly don't think its worth the effort.

actually spot on i got the missing files from the sharepod website its all sorted now thanks for your help guyswell when you plug your i-pod in go to my computer then find your i-pod and double clik it after that find your music on your i-pod (there should be quiet a few files) they shouldnt have the name of the some just a funny code thing then cant you copy and paste your songs into a new folder and open them up in i-tunes it may be that you have to re-name all your songs again but atleast you will have them if you get what im talking about if you get stuck send us a pm

Why don't they just make some 26" frames with horizontal dropouts? That way you could use proper hubs and still have no mech. I can't see any point in having mod spacing for the sake of it.
I was thinking the same thing. I guess its for the use of snail cams?
But i guess if you reall wanted snail cams you could make an 141mm rear dropout frame, so snail cams could be used with normal hub axles. But then i guess theres things like hitting your feet on the dropouts and needing wider bb's etc to consider.
Personally though, i think an 141mm rear dropout width would be the better way to go. But then i guess this doesn't fall in with dengs global trials takeover strategy as it'd be easier for him to just make rear mod hubs. He also seems to want to re-converge mod and stock, firstly with geometries (super high bb's) and then with the mod hub spacing. I guess next year all his frames will have bashplates instead of bashrings.

I'll ride in wind or light rain, but i don't ride if its tipping it down. Same way as i don't walk to the shops or to the pub. I don't enjoy being out in the wet and whats the point in riding if i don't enjoy it?

For a cheaper and faster effect wire bursh thingy in the end of a drill and go nuts on them!!! It'll get it off and layer of the aluminum that has oxerdized before the anodizing and you can then polish them up to bling all in half hour
Yep he's pretty much right. Even if you do use caustic soda i would still recommend to sand /wire brush the surface of the parts so as to allow for maximum effect when cleaning them up before you lacquer them.

I was talking of IBM's version which is the now offical one as they hold the linece for it nowt eles Kris! I said the other to help you on your merry way
Yeah but you say i'm crap at googling when its you not giving an accurate and straight forward reply.
I think its quite ironic you come on here and try to warn people about clicking the link and have a go at them for not having anti-virus/firewalls and allowing the virus to spread, when it was you who gave it to boumsong and boumsong that gave it to other members on here (including me). If you hadn't have allowed it access to your laptop i, and others, MIGHT not have had it.
And yes i'm well aware its my own stupid fault for clicking yes and trying to open it.
-
Take it back to wherte you bought it from, by law they have to sort it out if its faulty. If it was ordered online and they live within a certain limit (can't think how far) they actually have to arrange for it to be picked up if your not able/willing to do it yourself.
And before anyone asks, yes its true... its written on the trading standards site somewhere.
-
It's not cheap about £100,000 for it. Brant @ On One found it and was like okay Pete i take back what you said.
Edit: Man your crap at googling. I found it just like that. Barbedwire's Minesweeper CF is what you can look at. 501 new vrius found today alone! Worms, trojans and loads of other nastys. Pretty cool. It's made by Barbedwire but IBM has there version of which is bigger and better but only big companies and bank use it.
Did you know that Barclays i Bank uses AVG as it's firewall! Lame!
Maybe because your crap at giving it a genuine name. First you said
Minesweaps has been the only one so far not even to allow it through the firewall and antivirus, spywear etc etcThen
Minesweaper is IBM's all out anti hacker and vrius everything protectionAnd finally it was called
Barbedwire's Minesweeper CFKind of hard to google for something that keeps getting misnamed by illiterate people.

First ones loads better. I love red bikes

Minesweaper is IBM's all out anti hacker and vrius everything protection. Costs a bomb and is only ever been hacked once!
MSNNDA is a MSN hack or prefix program for all NDA under the Microsoft betl or testing any kit on a X86 X64 system that will run a Windows app you can get it. Basicly just an extended version of MSN. I belive it's renamed and out on P2P now i aint sure. It does use a serial number and key for it to be loaded on.
The virs is ms dos, XP usese nowt for that really but ms dos in xp goes straight into the registery which is the kernal. Basicly a house is built on foundations right...well thats the Kernal in XP. Sp XP chnages and does all odd things.
I found it had bumped my speedstep up so my CPU was no longer running 800mhz but at the full speed of 1.86ghz, my page file went up from data processing, my HD activity as well incresed, but my IP accessing and tracking logs were as if i was i acessing 150 sites a min....so it's a very active thing.
I found that NOD32 was the only one to remove it full but it had writen it self into the reg so fast than on removale and reboot windows soon as it had loaded would pop up say blah blah removed!
Surely something that good and impressive would be somewhere in the top 10 pages of various google searches.... can't seem to find a single thing about it though. C'mon pete, is this another blag?

nitromors is a paint stripper that can strip up to 15 layers of paint . It costs about a fiver a tin i did my forks with it , You just brush the nitromors onto the frame and after about 5-10 seconds it will start to buble up , the paint goes all crumbly and just simp;y wipe it off with some tissue. Its great stuff mate just don't get any on yours hands or skin because it will eat it away fast!!! Wear protective gloves and don't put too much of the stuff on as its juat a waste it only takes a light brushing for it to strip the paint. There is always the alternative, sandpaper but it will take quite a while. nitromors ***!
It doesnt eat it away fast. It doesnt even really eat it away. I didn't use gloves when i did my maggie slaves and held the things while applying copious amounts of nitromors, went all over my fingers. Only thing that happened is when there was nitromors and flakes of paint on my hand it stung a bit where the specks of paint were.

1. Only around 10-20% of those contacts will be online at any one time, and only a small number of those 50-100 contacts will be stupid enough to click the link, meaning out of 500 contacts only a few 10s of people at the most will click the link, and most will run decent protection software (Rather than "shitty laptops used for opening viruses"
) so only a very small number will become infected.
2. The virus doesn't actually do anything other than spread, so whats the big deal?
Sure some geeks somewhere will be jacking off to the knowlege their virus has infected a load of PCs, but who gives a shit?
You're making it sound like it's a massive threat to world security...
And what are MSNDA and Minesweaps? Never heard of them.
It also stops you opening msconfig and stops xoftspy from opening. Xopftspy being a free virus scanner that can actually get rid of it. I would imagine it does a couple of other things too, as random folder windows kept closing by themselves while i was trying to get rid of it.
-
Anyone have an idea as to what this virus actually is and how to get rid of it? I thought my pc was alright but it seems it isn't.
Whenever i try and open msconfig it kept automatically closing it, so i had to start up in safe mode and run it. There was a load of new entries to it including:
3 services, one blank, and 2 C:\windows\system32\ndtybve\services.exe
There was also dumprep 0 -k from %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k
Also seems i have a worm called Alcan.A... which might have something to do with it. It seems to like the files C:\windows\system32\netstat.com and C:\windows\system32\taskkill.com.

I got sent this by boumsong, i clicked it, saved it, and even got annoyed when it didn't seem to open.
Ah well.... blonde day i guess. Ad-aware scanned and deleted some stuff, then bugdoctor, then cccleaner, and now nothing can find any problems... guess i'm alright.

you did a top job of getting that so compact kris!
get the bike so its ultra small (wheels off, bar/stem off, pedals off, and make a box around it, i think royal mail wont send anything over 3metres cubed? i don't think weight will be an issue, seeing as its a t pro, considering the bmx kris sent was about 32lbs, and the t pro cant be more than 26lbs (with a heffer spec)?
-
Yeah? That's well helpful!....
- Why reply with that?....
I built mine up over the years, when i was at college i used to save then i started full time work. Along comes all the latest stuff!!... woohoo!
Bout as useful as this topic is. People work, get given birthday and christmas money and thats how they afford their bike, same as all their other stuff. Theres only 3 different answers really.
Job, birthday/christmas money.
Pro rider being sponsored.
Stealing your current bike.
What other answers was he expecting really?
Ever heard of the saying "ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer"? I put it into practice

Its a dmr. Ive had them crack before and theyve been fine about it, Really im just trying to prove that a frame would not bend from a crash /bail
Yeah it blatantly could. Say your doing a 720 over a double, and land sideways on the top of the landing ramp with all the force being absorbed by your rear triangle.
Thats enough to bend it. Hell i've seen a frame bend when someone failed to bunnyhop onto a bin, the rear triangle was all misalligned and so the frame got scrapped.

I just did.
Enough with the crap topics
Crank Arm Lengths.................
in Beginners Trials Chat
Posted
I thought generally mod bikes had shorter cranks so they aren't as likely to catch on things as your pedalling along, where as stocks have bigger wheels so can run longer cranks.... which some people say might help your gapping.
