thats a nice base! i love those tioga's mc lite saddles! i've got one for my hawyes and it looks great, i don't think there's a nicer saddle for a old skool bike!
why is the rear wheel/tyre a darker colour to the front?
steve
rear wheel is a Halo Combat with a SuperTacky HR
front wheel is a WTB Dual Duty with a singleply HR
the Halo is a lot newer, shinyer and blacker than the WTB
-
that looks very nice!
Back to the planet x style days
hells yeah - always loved the Zebdi and it was my 2nd choice of frame, but this came up with the Onza forks and the 'Burns and was too good to pass over.
old skool frames ***

Looks Marvellous. How can you ride with such fat grips?
thanks.
i've got REALLY long fingers, so any smaller grips mean that my fingers aredigging back into my palms! it's a pain in the ass, but it works for me.
-
dropped the PlanetX saddle and DMR STS - replaced with an old Atomlab seatpost, new Tioga MC Lite saddle and old Suntour 5000 der.
also changed the SS gearing from 22/16 to 22/18 - feels a lot better - and got the Zoo! green pads in the HS33.
i'll get some riding pics up when i can find someone to take pics of me!
-
thanks for the comments guys.
i've got a pair of Zoo! green pads that came with the HS33, but i'll have to cut them down before they'll fit - f*cking EVO2 mounts aren't as forgiving as the old EVO1s...
the frame's previous owner used Zoo! greens with a smooth rim and the grip was unbelievable!
-
Awesome. Bashguard and barends look wayyyy to new though, get out there and beat the crap out of them .
planning to! plenty of nice urban spots around me to hit and the Law don't seem to mind too much as long as you're not grinding the hell outta something!
if i would find that bike one morning in my garrage i would certainly cryyup, you would cry - 'cause i'd kick you in the nuts for stealing my bike!
-
I know I'll get some crap for my choice of rear rim, but as I'm not interested in doing 15' gaps to flat it's not a problem!
only my 2nd trials rig and I love it - rear end is VERY flickable!

Theres lots of people off this forum on there.
Was fairly funny acctually.
Mat
i always hate seeing James Porter's crash - it looks like a real nasty back breaker (the wall to rail to ass on floor!)
-
i saw this over on ObservedTrials.net and noticed someone familiar at 2m 28sec

BUH-LAMMMMMO!
-
if i can ask - why are you selling the frame so soon? you must only have had it a few months?
-
i reckon we'll be seeing a load of Zoo Pythons on eBay reeeeeeeal soon!
-
and what of the Echo, Rowan - not snapped i hope?
that frame should be hung from the wall as a testimony to it's work in great British Trials videos!
-
no, i do not wish this to carry on - you shouldn't have taken it so personally in the first place.
he posts a pic
i made my opinions known
you objected
big and?
it's a forum for God's sake
(for the record, i only add people to my MSN that i WANT to talk to)
-
you appear to be rather sensitive then, Tom
-
It's his bike, Stop being a Cock.
last time i looked, this was an open forum meaning that i'm intitled to my own opinion.
he posted the pics up here to get people's views - i gave him mine. if you post pics on this (or ANY forum) and just want people to lick your arse and tell you how great your bike is, then don't bother; it's called "reality" and some of you are sadly detached from it.
some people will love this bike - some won't - DEAL WITH IT
-
Ali - looks like you caned the f*ck outta that bike, and some of the componants are a bit ghetto!
1, the thumbshifter!
2, the derailleur
but you know what? it looks great!!! any vids of you riding it - i wanna see the abuse you dish out to the poor thing!
(btw are you using the Avid Roundagon rotor? if so, you're the only other person i've seen with one!)
nice one
-
are you ashamed of the fact it's a Zona? you shouldn't be - they're damn good frames - yet you've disguised it as a Koxx!
do you know how shit a Ford Fiesta would look with Ferrari badges on it? so why do people do it with bikes?
wannabe Koxx owner.
-
always prefered the '05 Pitbull frame...at least it looked different
(well - until 24Seven practically ripped the idea!)
so, Zoo! have abandoned the seatpost "wings" for '07 then?
-
good vid, some good riding too, but i think the song is called, my life be like. I was going to use it in my next vid and cringed when i heard it lol. i have another tune inmind that will suffice though.
it was used in NWD:5 though - so why would anyone else want to use it?
i'm not suggesting that just because i tune has been used once, it can never be used again, but NWD:5 was a HUGE mtb film...
-
A DH one yeah, but then thy run dual discs
the Sulry Large Marge rim - for it is he - is used on the Surly Pugsly bike, which is meant for travel over sand and snow, due to the HUUUUGE footprint of a 65mm wide rim and 3" tyres! the frame and forks have to be made especially wide to accomodate them though...
and it weighs a tonne, so it's no good for trials!
-
i'm getting a Base TA26 sent over to me soon as my main, primary and everyday trials rig as (back last year, when i rode) i ride 90% street.
i've also got the possibility of being offered a top condition Caisso frame/fork combo for a steal!
now, i know that the Caisso will DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH if i go using it for street (hence the TA26), but am i right in guessing that it'd be an ideal 2nd bike for competitions - bearing in mind that i'm still a learner?
-
it is chrome - just that if you take a pic at night with flash, the chrome comes out a lot darker, almost black
btw - the High Roller is on backwards
-
i love it - everything about it!
