  1. Testament to that! The guys a legend! Lived with him a few years ago in Portsmouth, he's now a climbing instructor in Dorset. Very friendly and an all round top bloke, think he might still be on here by the name of stuntsbyjon.

  2. If only I'd seen this thread earlier.

Panasonic RP-HJE240 earphones are the don. Pick 'em up for about a tenner, they're comfy as hell, include several sets of silicon inners in various sizes so you can get a perfect fit, they've been pretty rugged so far in the 18 months I've had them and the best thing about them is the sound quality... Freq response of 6Hz to 23KHz and you can really hear the difference. Deeeeeeeep smooth bass and crisp treble, fairly average in the mid range but so are most earphones.

  3. Had a couple of UE dreams last night, although the only one I can remember now basically involved a large group of us clusterfucking some unrecognisable underground MOD facility, making lots of noise then being chased deeper underground by the MOD Plod. This may or may not relate to some past occurrences or future plans.

  4. I used to have a five-year plan, but never a ten year plan. That lasted the whole a month before I realised it wasn't happening (which was a good thing, btw) as suddenly product designers were out of demand. That and I hate desks.

I thought about this question last night and I realised I don't have a plan for the next 10 days let alone 10 years. I've had numerous opportunities to settle down into a stable, and more financially secure, routine but in all honesty I'd get itchy feet and wanna change direction within a year. Again.

So for now I just take photos every day. Sometimes people pay me, sometimes it gets me in trouble with the police, but mostly it puts a great big smile on my face...

  5. Sam Ward and I are discussing those dark rooms that I mentioned in my previous post. I thought they were army barracks but according to him it's an old hospital.

LOL that's one of my photos.

As has been previously mentioned by Monsieur Charel, that's Hilsea Lines. That particular photo is taken in defensive bastion 5.

Me and Ward have discovered a website with photos of a certain deserted MOD building on Portsdown Hill, as well as a few more. Also found out what those weird tank/boat/armored vehicle things are when you come into Portsmouth on the motorway - I now also know where they are. Appears they also have tanks there..

Portsdown Main on the hill? It's a nice building, looks a lot better now that it's been stripped of all it's nasty 80s decor back to it''s original 30s features. The amphibious vehicles are two USAF LARCS vehicles, both at Harry Pound's Scrapyard. The scariest thing about that place is the owner, he's big in one of Portsmouth's major crime families.

I honestly have no idea how I've not come across this thread before.
