  1. that rig is the best thing since sliced bread .traiter, never going to use a maggie again. dont beleive you. you could do with taking all your graphics off and that will compensate for maxxis tyres.

Gee about time bey. Yea i took most of them off and found i could do everything a foot bigger, if i was to take those main stickers off..... well i would get a major sponsorship deal for sure

  2. The ideal solution is to move to a better place, i.e down south.

I was riding in a t-shirt today and wished i was in shorts, too.

Haha yea Nick that is very true, save yourself £20 on some gloves and spend £200,000 on an apartment in Plymouth. If you buy two pairs of gloves a year in 5000 years time the house would have paid itself off ..... sound investment!

  3. Cheers for the nice coments guys. Switching from Magura's to Vee's was easy, makes me feel more secure doesnt slip no where near as much as my old HS33 but sure other people think different, its just down to personal choice.

  4. looks beast bit looks heavy .......

As i said its not as light as other ozonys on here but its still pretty light. To be honest im a bit bored of the ''lets choose lightest parts possible'' attitude whatever the cost. Yes its good having a light bike but if its going to result in having crap tyres etc i personally dont see the point point :P For example i would choose maxxis tyres over 200g weight loss all day long. cheers for the coments guys keep um coming.

  5. Yea its an Ozonys and yes its a gay little update, but finally got everything finished so got some pics later today.

    New stuff includes:

    Echo CnC cranks

    ZOO! bars

    Rohloff chain tensioner

    Avid Ultimate

    Plaz pads

    SD7 leavers

    Heatsink adaptors

    p1010003416.jpg

Went riding today for the first time with the updates fitted and am really happy with the outcome. Havent got it on the scales before anyone asks, in no way is as light as some of the ozonys on here but its still light. Yes i know i could have had i lighter front brake, tires blah blah blah but i dont care, it rides perfect. Oh yea the Ultimate is so awesome that i will never look at a HS33 or similar again, more power with less hassle in my eyes.

    Spec:

    Frame - Ozonys

    Forks - Echo Urban disk

    BB - Echo isis

    Stem - Echo

    Bars - ZOO! riser

    Cranks - Echo CnC

    Coments welcome

    Enjoy!

  6. Yea thats no worries though, its only a 3mm think carbon one, some standard non-booster bolts should do the job. Would there be enough adjustment avalible in both the adaptors and brake to correct that 3mm differance so the pads will still sit nice and central on the rim? cheers keep the help coming

  7. Hey guys, just ordered and Avid ultimate, plaz pads and heatsink v2 adaptors...why? my magura has leaked again and im pissed off with it. I ran a booster with my HS33 on my ozonys, and want to with my new v-brake set up, however im skint enough as it is and dont want to fork out for a Vee specific booster. I have a sweet whitehurst carbon 4 bolt booster at my disposal its only 3mm thick and was wondering if it would be possible to mount the heatsink adaptors over the top of this meening the booster sits nicely out the way flush with the 4 bolt frame mounts clamped down by the adaptors. Ive checked for tyre clearance and thats fine, surely the only possible problem would be the adaptors being raised up an extra 3mm? Also what does the underside of a heatsink adaptor look like is it a flat surface (meening it would sit nice and flat against the booster) or is it machined with little feet so it sits snug over the frames 4 bolt mounts (meening it wouldnt)? cheers

  8. Zoo pads on any form of grind  are people going mad ?

    Zoo pads love smooth rims.

But, I don't really go for sharpness, i just grind the shit outta it so it's mega deep, mega sharp and mega harsh. My brake always works :)

    Danny.

I thought they were ok on a smooth rim but finding them way better on a light grind, yea i know they will get eaten alive in a few rides but oh well.

  9. I like to run a sharp light grind on my echo 07 rear rim, im using ZOO! pads and it works mint, but got the same problem as you i have to re-new my grind monthly. Certain rim alloys are softer than others and obviously pad compounds are different too some designed to be used with SMOOTH rims. The only way to increase grind life in my opinion is to make a harsher grind, experiment with rim and pad combinations and make sure you are using the correct grinding disk one that doesnt just scratch the surface of the rim but cuts into it, also the angle at which you hold the disk against the alloy can increase the sharpness or flatness of the grind. Hope this helps.

  10. Keeper! That was an awesome video mate, i thought the music and editing were perfect.
