  1. probably very old to be quite honest, the person i bought it off bought if off someone else so god knows! got it pretty damn cheap though and it had very minimal scratches when i first got it. ali bongos rock was thinking of buying one of them how are they to ride?

thanks for that comment it does try :P

  2. the s4 lancia that was for sale on auto trader was only a few miles away from me and the place i work areclose with walkers garage (place selling it).

we prepped a car for the 2005 goodwood festival of speed, it was an old texaco rover sd1. we took that to the 100 year anerversary of shelsly walsh hillclimb too if anyone went?

  3. anyone who slates v-brakes realy needs to try one out. i had a realy good maggie with cnc pads rb lever and all that shiz but just got bored with adjusting it all the time and setting it up square with the rim so swapped this maggie for some ultimate arms and few other bits sold the bits bought a new ultimate lever and sent off the white cnc pads to steve to get coust material in them. and it works amazing! it locks on better then my maggie with tar on a smooth rim! it has modulation too and has NO flex and i mean none at all unless you pull it with two hands. this is with a bog standard 3.99 cable too.

ill try get some pics of the setup if anyone is intrested?

edit: i think theres alot of differance between bottom of the range arms and avid ultimate arms as they run on sealed bearings etc.

and also dont be put off by a brake lever that has no return spring, my ultimate is the newer revised version that has been out for awhile now and has no spring and returns as quick as you take your finger off it.

hope this may help someone a little

  4. ooooooooooooooooooo gutted. do you know why its blown yet?! we get alot of theses engines in at work to rebuild and modify.

ive heard of these blowing alot when put into other cars or in your case a van! something to do with the angle the engine sits at when put in, if its the wrong angle the oil struggles to get to certain places and parts overheat and blow, even ifs its a very small angle its out by. wasnt realy listening when the conversation was going on but something like that!

hope you get it sorted soon (Y)

  5. looks awsome nice one! (Y) yeh v-brakes rock! ive got avid ultimate lever, avid ultimate arms, heatsink cnc coust pads and a shimano xtr booster. works incredible will never go back to a maggy! my bikes in this subforum somewhere will a semi closeup of the brake

well done with the bike looks sweet! do mind sayin how much it all came too with all the extras youve had put on etc? :-

  6. if you wanted a cheap option then them samoln pads or avid rim wranglers would be good on the front but heatsink reds if you have more money, coust pads may be abit over kill on the front? :-

im using the coust pads on my rear v-brake works amazing (Y)
