  1. Saw this at the time which I thought looked pretty bate that it was intentional but I dont know how over-steer works with an F1. To quote Brundle though, "It was poor judgement but I am concerned that he turned out then turned back in. He really did turn back into Hamiltons car.

(dont know why they chose to put this effect on the video mind)

  2. General rules

    - Keep you and your shit out of the way where-ever possible. Yes the box might be a great place to have a sit and put your bag down but seriously if you sit there I will intentionally make a use for the box ASAP.

    - Respect people have different speeds and different lines - generally bikes will do x and skaters will do y so stay well clear.

    - Try to do a line - yea you might want to just nail that box but seriously if you keep doing only 1 section of the park I'm not going to stop just because you feel like youve "shotgunned" a section

    - Be UBER respectful to locals even if they are complete bellends - even if your shit they will start to give you a bit of space if you start going every day and let them go first. Lets be honest they will be halfway round the park by the time your at the bottom of the first ramp

    - Yes you might want to smoke weed but the park is a place for all - parents - kids - grownups. If you want to do it don't hide but dont think your uber cool for sparking up in front of everyone.

    - No snaking, line stealing butting etc. however if you are going twice as fast don't slam on your brakes either - just be generally aware and if you know you can cut in leaving loads of room do - dont cause traffic

    - Dont be the id who cant fix his shit. Be the kid who can fix their shit.

  3. Bit of advice please chaps.

When I insured my bike I put the estimated mileage at 3000 miles, but I've had it 4 months and done over 4000 miles. By the time the year is out I could have easily done 10k. If I crash or anything, will I get in trouble for it?

As far as I know they've got no idea of knowing how many miles it had done when I started the policy right?

Depends if you stated it when starting the policy and when your last MOT was done. These are the only 2 "time stamps" that will age your bike. I would say dependant on these you should / shouldn't inform your insurer.

  4. Me and my sister are polar opposites. She’s 3 years older and has spent the last 5-6 years travelling the world teaching English and scuba diving living hand to mouth.

When I was on holiday scuba diving I was so jealous when I saw the life she was living - 8 hours on a boat in the sun and diving in gorgeous water. (Hardly like work)

But then I saw her jealousy when I had the offer I put in on a flat accepted.

That really sums it all up - I'm a corporate worker - well compensated - 9-5 - grinder. But she lives day by day when I have a 10 year plan.

My advice would be to do Halfords. You’re doing some engineering degree so working on bikes "says" more on your CV than being a pot washer. In your position I would definitely advise trying to get something better (even if very low paid / free) in a small fabricator or workshop. Thousands of people have "this qualification" and what will set you apart will be 98% experience and 2% interview.

  5. Last ride out on the old scooter - started after 2 years of being sat down the side of the house. Sad to see it go 4 years riding and owned for 8 years never once came off it. You will be missed but not forgotten.

  6. I watched it expecting to hate it - saw that last French thing with all the footjam whips and expected the same.

But this was really good - I do prefer the "flow-ier" street manual linked riding but on a setup like that there wasn't much opportunity. Big riding some great moves - some that I wasn't expecting.

If you out on your bike having fun who gives a flying f**k if people want to call it "trials" or "BMX" or street. If it make you happy then keep progressing and pushing with it.

  7. My opinion - I think its best we stay together it has worked out alright so far innit so why wobble a rocky boat when were both pretty f**ked anyway.

People in this world will not lift a finger without charging ass over fist for it so all the wasted time and money it is going to take really isn't worth the bother.

If you do want to split fine but I hope if you chose to sever ties with us then it should be done completely without any terms of recourse - but so long as I can still comee visit your beautiful country then that will be grand

  8. Been on here over 9 years. Mostly just lurk now.... out of habit more than anything.

I used to be propper mad behind the keyboard and loved stirring but feel too old to do any of that stuff now. Sometimes I type out something trolley but then change topic before I hit reply.

  9. I listened to a discussion about this for about an hour in the car (yes my radio is locked to five fecking live) and realised...... I literally could not give a f**k. Halal meat has been prepared for hundreds of years that way and if my chickens dead and tastes the same I really couldnt care less.

    On yea and..........

MUSLIMS ARE INVADING OUR COUNTRY AND THERE GOING TO BOMB AND TAKE OVER OUR SCHOOLS

I mean damn........ Thats what all this is about really.

  10. I'm still amazed your parents believed your story about why that car door got dented.

I think they just trust me because I'm normally impeccibly behaved it must have been a bit of a blip that day...... Or because when I normally crash one of their cars it has to be replaced not fixed.......

Also who do I know is going Tarty Days? Could pop down.... If I dont get thrown out again

  11. That's something a hipster would say, right? I can handle eating the same dish as someone else. Are the meals included in the price crappy or something, or is there just no choice and everyone gets the same dish? That'd be a bit daft.

The meals are OK and there is generally good selection. As said before for my holiday in a 4 star hotel it was £30 more expensive to go all inclusive and you really would have to be barking mad to turn it down. All holidays I have booked recently have been very similar in that I haven't payed more than £50 to go all inclusive which is worth it for water and beer even if you don't eat anything there. Truth be told I normally eat at the hotel every night but 2 or something.

  12. I haven't read the whole thread, and I'm not a fan of disagreeing with someone I consider a friend, but I have to mention that I think Simps' advice about going all inclusive is a crock of shit. All inclusive means you're stuck at one place drinking shit beer or wine. Give yourself the freedom of half board :)

Was like £30-£40 more expensive to go all inclusive. As I said before even if you use it as a bare minimum your still not at the risk of loosing any money. I have done the whole half board / self catering stuff but eating out and having a few beers one night of the holiday will cost £20 so makes no sense to me. Means you have to bother finding a shop and stocking up on water etc, Each to their own I guess if we were all the same the world would be boring eh!
