I finished reading the topic in question... I agree with you rob/bob :) it did raise some good questions and created a good heated discussion (not argument of course :lol: ) I have a slight feeling that this thread will be the continuation of that one though lol

OK i think the majority of you have taken my question the wrong way. I only asked what they did because I dont have any direct connections with them. I just dont see why top football players don't have to do much to earn millions, while top riders have to do lots to earn the norm, thats all :) lol

Just wondering what does Neil Tunnicliffe, Ben Savage, Vincent Hermance etc. do in the day? Obviously david beckham just sits on his arse and watch money fly through the letterbox but trials riders dont get paid as much so I just wondered what they do with their time

I dont know if this was true or not, but I was out riding once and this older guy said "are you practising for the olympics?" so i politly said yeah and he said that he thought it was silly that they removed one of the (many) sprint races to make room for a bmx competition and I was like..."....Oh...what?!" Like I said Im not sure if this is true or not. Personally I doubt that Trials will go to the olympics as the government don't like it anyway. Tis true what's said above, its going to cost stupid pounds just to get it here and make it slightly work

They have enough insurance cover, but they probably wouldn't be prepared to accept liability if someone died (OK we all know its not likely, but its still possible). To put it another way, if someone died, Newspapers are likely to say: "Council said 'yes' to project death and ignored safety risks!" referring to the park. Its not gonna look good for them is it? So to cover their backs they turned you down. Thats the impression I got when I asked my council anyway

so long as it only skips one point, if a king skips, you're not really going to notice it (except for the clunk sound) So in my opinion so long as money is no problem, get the king biatch (Y) Ive had the profile and it only skips in the first month or so. Clean it out and it works fine like.

not really. quality is much better. ive had my profile for about 3 months now; if i had an ACS it probably be on its way to freewheel heaven by about now as im a destructive rider
