  1. What I'm asking is for a decent company like Deng to revert to older methods and start making stuff that can actually withstand dropgaps because right now everything just doesn't last for the big riders, and everything is made for danny mac or coustellier.

Does anyone else agree? TGS should be an option again as it was a huge thing a few years ago but now it's gone nobody seems to care as long as they save their 100g.

Don't know how long you have ridden, but back in 2000? Deng had ZOO! and Echo. ZOO! Boa and Lynx were renowned for snapping / cracking and being light weight. Same with the Original Echo bikes such as the ES3 and later the original Echo Pure.

Now you say everything is made for Danny Mac or Coustellier... I admit they are what pushing the sport forward at the moment. Danny with Redbull and Giles with being world champion so why wouldn't sponsors make stuff to their specifications since they are generating PR and in turn printing them cash.

Back when I was a TGS Basher and rode with CLS pretty much daily himself and Neil were the forefront of Trials and TGS was what everybody did. Sadly they dropped off the map to some extent and that side slipped into disarray as riders had to look elsewhere for inspiration. Aka Danny Mac & Giles.

    Also as Adam said,

" Yeah, that's part of the issue. Plus, with the sport being smaller, the production batches are much smaller so the cost per item is higher... Vicious circle "

  2. Having rode with 04, 05's and currently 2011 HS33's. I'm more than impressed. Comfortable! Dont know what this flex is? but its pretty non existent for me (Onza Genesis 20" Frame & Fork (No Booster)). There also water bled and had 0 issues to date. Bikes been running since February 2013 and its been in my possession since 25th May 2013 still with 0 issues.

Even ride with people who have 05's and they love my brakes. meh, each to there own!

  3. I couldn't get hang of the controls.. Spend 30mins trying taps.. nowhere near. Also when you jump of sideways from a side hop, not matter how i landed (both wheels down, back weel down, front wheel etc ) the bitch just kept falling off!!

However, cudos on making a game and spending so much time on it. Not for me, however im sure plenty will have hours of fun on it!

  4. Just done it in the sink.

Lever feel has massively improved. Shit loads of air came out aswell. Fingers crossed this will improve the brake!

Was a little fiddly in the sink. Would recommend doing it in the bath and laying the brake out next time!

  5. Firstly, Sorry to Bump an old thread!!

Im after water bleeding my HS33 2011. Now a previous question was asked here an never answer. Can you bath bleed 2011 HS33 Maguras?

Have magura fixed the leak issue people semed to have?

    Cheers

  6. My ADMs are not 100%. Running a grind on a Onza single wall diamond rim. Also set up perfect.

To start with they was amazing but seem to be getting worse. Had to resort to alittle tar when riding today.

Tried cleaning the rim with thinners. But doesnt seem to have helped at all.

Considering taking a skim of the paf material incase they are alittle contaminated...

However I have LGM's on the front (same rim) which I have ground with a emery cloth and it is seriously amazing! Scarey loud aswell and crazy bite and hold.

I think both compounds are worth while using.

  7. Whats peoples opinions on the current Try-All Sticky Lite tyres?

Currently running Maxxis Creeky Crawlers but i have never been able to get on with them. Find them heavy, sluggish and to have a slow re-bound...

So, looking to replace them, have my eye on the Try-all..

    Cheers

    Craig

  8. So took your advise and decided to strip it down, clean it all out and check for damage.

    Results:

    Grease central!

    Lots of crap came out!

Whats peoples thoughts on this, you can clearly see signs of the teeth bulging over where the pawls are engaging. Although the pawls look relatively wear free?

  9. Strip the tensile and see if it can be fixed with some new pawls and springs

I would but I have only been riding it for 2months!

Was bedded in and the whole jaz! Im not a hard rider either or heavy. If it needs that already I would be pretty pissed.

would rather try something new in all fairness

  10. Evening TF.

After doing some research on here there is alot of fans of the SL. But, there is this whole "New Model" debate between the silver & black colour way.

I currently am running a Tensile 60 click. Its starting to make some nasty noises and feels ropey during general riding. Also had 1 or 2 rather large clunks when just generally hopping around.

    Hence this topic.

Mainly after peoples advise on the Try-All (Both models) and to hear from anybody who has bought a SL freewheel recently.

    Many thanks.

    Craig

  11. I just had a thought, do you think the stupid angles people have been running are putting different strains on the bend?

    Ben

    Thought the same myself.

Nearly bought myself a set of carbon bars a couple of times in the last month... this had kinda put me off :b
