  1. hmmm i was also reading they thread on try-all freewheel last night, some pretty good arguments lmao, think decision is defs narrowed down to try-all and eno, mite get try-all...are the try-alls same width as say acs etc.???
  2. ok here is the deal, i have jsut got new cranks...finally after god knows how long.....and im looking at freewheels but im stuck between a tensile, eno (72 engagements) and a i hate to say it try-all. i am currently runnign a acs but think its pretty bawls lol, so wanting something thats going to last (hense my reason for dreading to say try-all), and i know the eno's are the shizz, aint heard much or know any one with a tensile but considered it for the fact i wouldnt need to fork out heeps more for a BB, and last but not least a try-all, as i have been informed they are pretty damm good, adn have probably more than enough engagements!!!!!! i would be thankful if any one has any recommendations on what i should buy?? oh and do tarty bikes sell the monty/fsa bottom brackets that clean bikes sell??? cheers folks
  3. my zona zip is about same length as my echo team, but for proper sizes check out the tarty bikes site or the other zona dealers. if i have time later i will post sizes for you mate
  4. must be pain in the back side sleeping!?!?!? i remmeber earlier this year i landed my coccyx on the downtube, and well all i can say is you got off lucky!! plus i have been in many accidents involving the ability to have children in the future...yer those tioga DH tyres brand new and a booster plate aint pleasant on yer family jewels lmao. still dont let your accident stop you riding!!
  5. i ride on/off trials and mountain bike, and worst i get is maybe sore wrists or arms lol, and i do a lot of lifting in my job to...you just need to live with the pain!!! be a man!!! and your body will soon develop a resistance. adjusting your levers or bars so that your arms are "flush" ie straight. when you stand up(on the pedals, not sitting) reduces strain in wrists, arms and possibly fingers. i found doing this helps majorily, as for blisters calouses only advice i ahve is "live with it!!!"
  6. i used to ride a zona, similar to zoo i geuss!! but i recently bought echo team, and my riding has improved heeps!!!!!! and im 5'6ft not exactly skinniest of folk either, and its deffs awesome ride, not to mention its light and pretty reliable strength wise, as its cnc'd like a beast. but yeah best to test ride a few 1st before buying
  7. i will give this derby place a ring after i tried my local bearing stockists up in aberdeen...to the guys having similar problems, instead of buying new bottom brackets, my local bike shop suggested using skf bearings, ment to be the shizzz or japanese if you can find a dealer lol, if you have the money just buy an fsa or echo...try-all justs nasty
  8. i have had my try-all for a long time now and just bought my mate towlers echo frame off him, pimped that sucker up and well few weeks down the line bottom bracket goes....only to find out that the non drive side bearing had completely dicintegrated..so is their any plac ei can get new bearings because well im a poor student and i aint paying another £40-£60 for new BB as yet!!
  9. im gettin my zona in a few hours time so i will post somfin bout it wen it finally arrives......YIPPEE
  10. some fo you may find this thread pointless but i have to speak up for old music lovers!! why is it that trials or bmx vids (wotever ur in2) never have for e.g. old bands such as hendrix, beatles, cream/clapton, or any older bands you can think of??? we need some change!!!
  11. if you know a welder you could kindly ask him to make some sort of gussets for it, thus strengthening it, but will add unwanted weight, or even better yet, buy an eagle claw bash plate from clean bikes, my m8 towlie has 1 an their a beautifully crafted piece of trials hardware, not to mention the tremendous grip, and judging by thickness, strentgh, they have to your conventional plate, the choice is yours
  12. or the safer option is take it to a respectable bike shop, and for a few quid they can do it for you(dont qoute me on the few quid bit, could be more) but if you do it that way at least if the threads get knackered, its thier responsibility=new frame!!....p.s. i emphasise, TAKE IT TO A GOOD BIKE SHOP
  13. i have never heard of this method my self but, try both ways, in sink/bath and out of, its only water your using, its free!! unless your council are crooks, lol but all councils are
  14. try the lovely guys at tarty adam an dave, i jus ordered the last dark grey zona, must say thnx to whom ever it was i talked to, try tarty aswell as supercycles, besides u get a free t and bash plate 4 extra £15, bargain i reckons :)
  15. in my opinion do the right thing an buy urself a zona zip, i just ordered 1 myself, an thy look miles better than both of the onza's, not the stickers obviously though, ther nasty, but my advice get urself a zona, if not defs t-pro :) :D :S
