  1. Big Dropoffs! (size remains secret!)

Roll to the edge, crank it up, hold your nerve and get the teqnique right...I am scared off heights though. :)

That and finally having to remove a bald Maxxis tyre from my rear hog rim (6 levers broken!)

Oh` and never getting validated. :-

  2. if its the bottom one, give me his number and my sis can have it

Yeah, sorry man but if its the 2nd one I'm defo buying it! :- No info yet as he aint pickin up his phone!

If I don't dig the bike I will post back some info to see if anyone wants it. (if a non-memb can do that?)

    Thanks again......... :)

  3. Hi, I'm looking for a little help/advice on a mod bike I have been offered for £100. (Price my friend in LBS said he'd get for it)

    `Monty Team T219`/maggies F + R/ 20"F - 19"R.

Described as, `been siting in the shed for a while`!

I ride a T-rex and would love a cheap little mod to have fun on. Has anyone rode one or got any info on this bike please as I don't really know much about mods.....except the size !!

I have just been to the Monty site and can't quite work out which one it may be, although I'm asuming its an 04/05 model......and what the`T` stands for I don't know? ( the paint jobs look horrid though!! )

Any info would be appreciated, but for £100 this has got to be a good deal right?

    Thanx -C

  4. This week while trying `rockwalks`, I decided to knee my stem leaving me to hobble about for three days in pain (Y), and then today while trackstanding in my house, BOOM, pedal spin to tears!

I think I'd rarther get kicked in the nads than let this happen again, so what KNEE/shin pads, or combo do you recommend for trials.

They must be: comfortable, non-restricting, easy to put on etc. I tried some dainese knee/shin pads....NOT THESE...felt like sandpaper and slipped constantly.

    Any advise?? (Y)

  5. Small hands? ..............You should check the `Try-All` Foam or Rubber grips from Tarty Bikes. 27mm diameter - £7 a pop!! SWEET! http://tartybikes.co.uk/products.php?product=grips

I bought a set of each last week!

Foam Grips - Comfy, very thin, never slip or twist on the bar, soft foam ensures a full/tight grip, lacking in that `taccy` feel of rubber though! :P :-

Rubber Grips - Basic thin rubber `taccy` feel grip! Still great!

Now where can I find some Toxin grips?? They look good to!

  6. I found this free Trial Bike game last month on Download.com. Lots of fun, great game engine, gives a really good feel to the bike.

Pretty basic 2d `Junior Kickstart` type thing! Its FREE, but I urge you to buy the extra 5 ish levels!

I got a 0 in an hour but can't stop playing it. Oh and it actually helped me understand shifting my weight around on my Onza!

    Try it (Y) http://www.download.com/Trial-Bike-Basic/3...68.html?tag=pop

    (I'm a noob?.....Hope this isn't er.....`un-wanted`)

  7. Thanks guys, I wasn't trying to moan about the comp style set-up, although after a ride to town and back my hands are stinging. I love my bike though and appreciate what its doing for my progresion! (Y)

Maybe the bunny hop teqnique is more `egsadurated` (spell check broke) on a trials bike? I am takling about a rolling `american` style bunnyhop?? Maybe to a stall? (Y)

I will stick with it for a while before laying down any cash.

When I said sidehop I meant sideDROP....sorry! Sitting here now it seems easy in my head.....ah forget that move, 90 degre drop off instead!

Thanks again, anyone got any more tips on bunnyhops (although I can do them on a dirt bike (Y) )...feel free to post!

    Cheers!

Oh and in the future what frame/geometry should I be looking for? I don't really know what geo the T-rex is? Based my purchase of bike on parts/looks/Respectible Company!

I bumped into a friend riding a Pashley??, I remember it feeling `compact`.....whats out there?

  8. Hi, I have a T-rex, original spec. Its my first real trials specific bike and I'm having lots of fun, easy on the back wheel, even learnt to pedal hop, all good. (except answering the "what is that bike question", every day :turned: )

BUT, there's not a chance in hell I'm bunnyhopping this thing and side hops feel a little weird, I find these easy on my dirt bike! I just feel like I'm over the front to much or is that, my arms are to far forward ??....when on two wheels.

Also, I tried to show some kid how to un-weight the back-end not using the front brake (endo-like!)....and nothing happend??

So should I change the bar and stem to or more traditional mtb riser bar style with a shorter stem or will this just change the bike completely? (Onza 100mm stem / Onza trials bars)

I do love my bike but bunny hops would be nice! :P

    Hope that didn't sound like a moan......Thanks!
