If you're paypal payment goes through ok, and your form sends off ok and returns you to the home page, then assume we've got it. I'm running the trial at Addingham on Sunday, once that's over then I'll put together an entry list for Fort William, you'll be able to double-check on there. Cheers! -

You can ride 3 sections, and still change your route ... just come back to control and we'll issue a new punchcard and change the scoreboard - not a problem! The main thing is that you enjoy it!!! -

Hi Ross Last year we had an official (Chris Walker's dad) stood at the gates until about 10-15 minutes before start time with the entry tickets - sorry if you missed him! This year we are considering actually having the trials signing on outside the main gates in a designated area - still talking to the organisers about it. It should be easier to spot us and get entry tickets sorted. Will let you know once details are finalised. Barbara -
Forms are almost ready for release, we're just waiting for confirmation on the number of free passes allowed per person. Hope it will be mailed and on-line on Tuesday.

There are two branches of observed trials in the UK. BikeTrial UK is the UK's representative of BIU (BikeTrial International Union) which has "delivered" itself to the ACU (Auto Cycle Union). See here and here. They run events to BIU rules. Every rider MUST buy an ACU licence to be able to ride in their British and Club events, and every rider MUST buy an ACU licence before they can buy a BIU Licence. Why? The Biketrial Federation UK is independent of any such authority. They are working with British Cycling, with their event results being used for World Championship team selection. See here. No licences are required to ride in any Biketrial Federation event, ie the British National Trials Cup / Championship. On the "UCI World Championship British Selection Policy" you will see, for the first time this year, "British Cycling will pay for the cost of appropriate team clothing for all riders and staff. A Team Manager and Assistant Team Manager will be appointed and a nominal payment will be awarded for both roles". We're getting there gradually. Very few trials riders take part in organised events, ie average of 60 per event over the last 2 years (at both club and national level). Perhaps if more riders participated in observed trials the sport would be taken more seriously and more funding may be made available. Barbara

Forms received thankyou - yes please, (although it is always much easier for me if payment etc can all be sorted out before - saves me a lot of work on the day amid everything else that'll be going on!). See you both there.
-
Please complete the forms tonight for both you and your friend - I need to get the paperwork prepared. Send both payments on Friday BUT BRING THE PAYPAL PROOF OF PAYMENT WITH YOU (or bring cash on the day). See you there. lame excuse

Payment can be made by debit/credit card over the phone until 31/03/09 when our card machine is to be disconnected - otherwise you can pay through PayPal with either debit/credit card (you don't have to have a PayPal account to do this). You can send cheque, pay direct to bank, etc, etc. Any problems just give us a call. You can try the landline phone 01729 851350 which will have an answerphone if we're not there (line to be disconnected on 31/03/09) or my mobile 07850 505298. We opted to only advertise the PayPal option as we can't guarantee being able to answer the phone all the time and the last thing I wanted to read on here was "no-one answers the phone"!!! Same service as always, orders up to 3.30pm will be mailed same day by 1st class mail. New items will be going onto the sale site daily so keep checking it out - Come on guys, help us to clear our stock quickly!!!
-
Thanks everyone, thanks Pat, but don't worry, I've already got her lined up for the little Monty 202Push bike! Will you? I'm organising the comp for the 8th March
-
Thank you for your kind sentiments John ... we really do miss having you around! Yes, cleanbikes is closing on 31st March ... in the meantime, 20% off everything as long as stock lasts - check it out www.cleanbikes.co.uk! I will still be around for a while organising comps etc, but it's just amazing what a new baby grandchild does for you - your priorities seem to change a little ... choice of spending two days on a cold wet windy Addingham Moorside or playing with Isabella? By the way John, I'm still waiting for your's and Robbie's entry forms for next week at Shipley ... late again! Take care. Barbara
-
What a brilliant weekend I've had. My first grandchild was born on Friday night, Saturday setting sections then off to visit in hospital. Then a good trial on Sunday (sorry about the rain) with loads of wet but smiling faces. Thank you for the flowers ... made my day!
-
It will be discussed at the AGM in January. Very hard to organise and so many volunteer helpers were needed, but we raised £3000 for the charity and I think everyone had a really good day! Any more feedback on the DVD from all those who bought one today?
-
The full Bunny Hop DVD has arrived - it really is good and well worth £7.99 - proceeds are to be donated to the Candlelighters children's cancer charity. It will be on sale at Dob Park on Sunday, the last TykeTrial comp of the year, then available on-line from Monday. Will put up a link when it's ready. Many thanks to James for all your work
