  1. My chauffeur takes me to all the rides I like to attend… (A)

I remember when I was 13, I used to ride up to 20 miles to ride with mates. Kids are way too lazy these days. They expect riders to live next to them or won't bother making an effort..

Still today, I travel 1000's of Miles to visit mates and go for group rides. I just catch a plane.

HAHA memory.. I remember a couple of times catching buses and taking my wheels off to get on..

  2. Have a look at the importing restrictions for nz. You may find out otherwise. The Elements are awesome bikes worth getting one from anywhere.

Like I said though shoot Expressive Bikes a nice email with what you are after and they may find something that suits you and your buget in the Inspired range. No harm in asking.

I will be going to NZ soon so it would be good to ride if you get one :)

  3. Are you sure it works out to be cheaper? Have you factored in shipping and import tax? Factor in those two and then see..

Send Expressive bikes an email with what you want and see if they can cater for you.

I hope you get one either way because they are bloody awesome bikes :)

  4. I have recently gone back to using a Vee (after 11 years of disc / mag) on the front of my Echo 26''. So far I am loving the power and responsiveness! Easy to maintain and take the wheel out without deflating.

I would be super keen to try one on the rear again. I used to have a Vee on my Giant 11 years ago and it was OK - nothing to write home about. Now that brake pads have come along way for Vees (you don't continuously lose your pad from the backing haha) and grinds are the norm, how many riders would look into a Vee frame if there was one available for 20'' or 26''? Obviously, there are Vee adaptors etc but they are a bit gay..

My intention is not to spark a Vee vs Maggy debate.. I just want to find out peoples opinions about Vee's!

I think if a decent geo frame was released with a Vee option I would be interested!

    Thoughts?

  5. Trials is an incentive for me to work hard and efficently. The better I am at my job the more time I get on the bike. For the past 13 years trials has played part in life decisions and I have never made a decision to make it harder for me to ride (apart from working full time).

Trials also made my move to Australia much easier, socially. As soon as I landed here 5 years ago I instantly had mates I could ride with (never met them face to face prior). This made the move much more welcoming. Leaving your uni mates and child hood mates behind was not easy. Trials definitely helped me find a new group to hang out with.

AND of course, if my girlfriend does not like trials she can RACK OFF HAHA

  6. This is the BEST trials vid I have seen.. Amazing pace and the line are HUGE!

This vid has gone viral.. 105,000 in a couple of days. I think Danny Mac is the only trials rider that could rival that… Impressive stuff.

  7. I have a set of new rimjams (oldest model I think) but I googled them & the 1st thing I saw was a broken pair.

I use a smooth rim & a bit of tar. Do I need to worry? Seems like a lot of material & not much backing, there's not a lot of material sat in the backing either, opinions ta.....

These are death pads.. Bought a pair from Bike 2004 or 05? First ride they disintegrated.. Terrible design and the material was like cheese strings.

Let me know how you go..

  8. i hate it when people do a video to promote a pad, and dont even "test" it properly, people want to see it holding on a edge, or really loud noise, that could be any pad in my opinion for that video ive ran pads on dead grinds which the brake is not very good at all which is capable of working in all conditions that were shown in that video. i suppose the truth will be in weather it gets released or not..

I completely agree with you. I mean, how can a pad just be tested on straight edges. LOL I reckon some lads could do all those lines brakeless….

I have not made my definitive opinion on the pads based on the first ride.. How could anyone be stupid enough to write a review after the first ride.. However, my first impressions are very positive. The vid was merely to out them out there..

Luckily, TNN have a very diverse team of talented riders around the world who will chip in their 2 pence.

You are also right with your last point.

    Cheers
