  1. I love everyones opinions. its apparent that everyone has an acquired taste when it comes to pads.

I rode the Rockman pads recently for around 10 rides to see what the fuss was about. I found they worked well in dusty conditions but the hold was terrible. I weight 91kg so not many pads can live up to my expectations.

Because the Rockman's have a spongier feel compared with the LGM's I decided to start riding the Kenny's that have more modulation (compared with the LGM's)… there was no comparison. It is the wet season here in Aus and this has not stopped me from riding. The bite is great in all weather. But when the Kenny's show their true performance is in the dusty, muddy and rainy conditions OR i.e. comp situations.

LGM's are the daddy's when it come to street… super hold with the ultimate bite.

I suppose it's what ever butters your bread at the end of the day.

  2. yes mate. that was a cracker!

your riding has come on leaps and bounds mate! i loved that! it was just actioned packed all the way through!!!

    loving your style danny.

looking forward to seeing more soon….

  3. Each pad has it's benefits…we all know that..

However, if you are looking for a pad that has ultimate locking power and truly innovative that Neil T, TRA, Stan Shaw, Ben Travis, Ben Slinger, Kenny Belaey, Joe Brewer, Ali C (to name a few) all use TNN is the only choice…

What terrain do you mostly ride?

  4. Interesting how people can spot flex in such specific parts of their bikes... Personally, I found my Try-All CNC cranks to be pretty good. I certainly didn't notice them to be 'flexy', but then again I was riding with them on a mod with 20psi or so in the tyre, etc., so there were quite a lot of other bits I noticed flexing more than my cranks.

In my opinion I have ridden burns for around 5 years and compared with the try-all's they have nothing… The try-all cranks are certainly one of Koxx's better products. I personally think they are a lot stiffer and reliable. And this is coming from someone who is not a Koxx fan...

  5. Thanks a lot mates! I'm ordering them tomorrow, I think I'm going for the Belaeys, anyway go on telling me what you think.

I usually ride natural in dusty places, I hardly ride in wet conditions because of the Spanish sunny weather :P

    So Belaeys for the win?

Hi mate, if you ride natural regularly and dusty spots I would stick with the kenny's for sure. The LGM's are for raw power on the street...

    Enjoy the pads mate.

    Lewis.

  6. Gday all you pommy groovers.

I have not been on here for ages now. Lost touch with what is going on back ome.

I hope you are all well and enjoying the summer and trialling you asses off. Rob and I have not been riding in ages now as we have been riding dirt bikes for a change. I dug Robs bike out and gave it a service but the back brake is shot, the lever has seized up........so..........my question to you all is this, who is looking after all of your needs now Clean bikes has moved on (bloody damn shame if you ask me).

Are Ben Savage and Good ol Fred still trading? If so as who??????

And how the bloody hell is BIG Mick (he will know who I'm on about if he reads this).

What's all the gos, who is riding for who? Who is falling out with who? who is winning everything???????and most of all has anybody taken over from me in the silly buggers class??????????????

Any way I need a white HS33 lever mount or a complete rear lever set up as I have been asked by the local mountain bike club to set up a little trials play ground, so we had best get going again.

Lots of questions but hey its been a long while

Oh yes this new format on here is a bit of a bugger when you've been away for so long.

    Keep those feet up groovers.

    JP

    Hey,

The ozzy scene is pretty big now (especially in QLD). Aus have plenty of dealers with parts on the shelves ready to be shipped to your home next day...

Tim from expressivebikes (lives in QLD is the magura dealer) he can sell brakes and parts....

Many riders travel interstate to keep up with their riding. Airfares are as cheap as buses...

We have just had the Australian champs at the Gold Coast with 30 riders including world number 8, Joe Brewer.... Is there a particular reason you dont ride the comps???

    Cheers,

    Lewis.

  7. Hi Guys,

Here is J9's newest vid. She is truly a talented rider.

The vid has been edited by coach and friend, Cam D :)

Appreciate comments guys, it means a lot.

    Enjoy...

    J9 KOXX

  8. Yes ben!

Enjoyed that, some very techie lines there esp when you use the angles on the rocks.

The music was a change to your other vids, not as querky :( suited the natural riding though.

Bike looks great, and how grabby is your back brake!!!!!!

  9. Check out the TNN Belaey's are a very quiet pad compared with the majority of what is currently available. And the best bit is that THEY WORK EXTREMELY WELL. If you want to go quieter go for a booster and if that isnt good enough go Vee...
