  1. yeah looks a pretty big booster aswell too big to get between my v and small seat (i have a planet x zebdi)

anyone got any ideas where to get this gear cable from ive been looking high and low since mentioned to me

also is it an inner or outer

    thanks

    thomas

have you actually tryed tarty? ino adam got some in at one point and i cant see ali having used it all and seeing as not many no of it, im sure they wont of sold out.

  2. best value for money set up that gives good preformance is

    sd7 lever and arms

tnn green or phat pads with a grind

you deffinately need a booster, xtr carbon is the best option if you can get hold of one if not anything is better than nothing. the main problem is usually boosters arnt wide enough for the spacings on most modern frames but youll be ok.

as for cable tarty sell a gear cable that you can use, ali noes which one it is. it gives a really solid feel at lever

  3. I run a vee with no booster on adaptors and it's perfect. The only thing I'd change if possible would be to have vee mounts on a frame - if they were more widely available then I think more people would run a vee. I wouldn't change back to a Magura if there was any way to run a vee, not a chance.

put a booster on and you will be suprised how much better the hold is.

  4. it depends what kind of brake your after. these days most people seem to like really bitey brakes that just snap on, but usually the hold is anything to have a wank over. with a vee you get shit bite or at least never as good as a maggy but the hold is so amazing they just dont slip. personally im not fussed about bite so i love my vee. there are some down sides though, you definately need a booster otherwise your wasteing your time i think as ive found without a booster the quality of the brake is significantly poorer. only problem is booster aren't that plentifull in vee form. it does also take alot of tweaking to get the brake just perfect and tweaking every so often aswell.

  5. since breaking up with girlfriend couple of months ago now, things have been abit dry.

was in town last night and got crabed by a girl and danced with her, she had a stunning body. she wanted to go to another club as its open till 4.30 insted of 3 at the one we was at so decided to go along as my mates would come along later. on way she said hope my mates wouldn't mind me coming and the stuff she was going to do to me obviously i said no with a big smile on my face. got there and got she got id and went in i got told my top was sports wear :S (turns out the bouncer had been a dick with few others ino aswell) about 15min later manage to get in with other bouncer. when i found her i told her what happened but she seem abit patranising when i told her i was 19 when she asked as she was 22 and she was sat with some other lad so decided to leave it. didnt even get her name either, bummer. not much of a girl problem though is it

  6. good to see another company on the scene giving us more to choose from. be interesting to see what ideas you come up with

like someone said the questions are abit vague as there are alot more factors that usually come into account. but i tried to answer the questions assuming all the other factors were ticked.

Voted. Have to say though a frame where you don't need to disconnect the chain seems like a bad idea that will end up breaking.

how can you make that assumption you've not even seen there design they have in mind.

  7. to all you guys saying your having problems in rain, sounds like its rain getting to ignition, and they will start 10min later as the ignition has dried out enough. if they run off dizzys and a coil try covering it with a plastic bag or some form of guard or just sealing things as best as possible. also spraying wd40 on everything helps. if they dont run off a dizzy then cover as much of the ignition wiring, ecu ect as possible with something. i guarrentie you your problem will go away.

ps: make sure the plastic bag isn't near manifold or anything hot.

  8. personally I don't think the ultimate arms perform any better than any other arms. Infact, I always found the bearings go notchy and then its hard to dial in the arms so they move at the same time.

I recommend shimano arms if your setup needs more clearance, or the Avid sd7 if you have room. Attach that to an SD7 lever (they have a good speed dial adjustment rather than XTRs crap version). Some Shimano SP5 cable and some tnn LGV pads. Oh, a booster helps LOADS for hold, if you havnt got a booster on TRY IT, your brake will be 50X better at holding with one.

he speaks the truth, no need to waste your money on ultimates, ive used both the shimano and sd7 arms and there both brilliant. as ali said a booster is the key it makes one hell of a difference.

  9. You can run smaller gears.

The weight is shifted to the middle of the bike.

    You have less chain.

    Your bike weighs less.

as said above really, just to add to it smaller cogs give you more ground clearence also which is one of the big factors why it all went front freewheel.

tell us what bike you have, things such as rear hub, cranks. as you need to have cranks that have a thread on them and not a bolt on sprocket.

  10. he came on msn today on his mobile, i asked him dont you owe someone some forks off forum and he said duno dont go on there anymore. so made him aware you will be paying him a vist.

  11. its abit hard to find out really which is best, because there are to different markets. light weight and bash proof. for bash proof ive beat the f**k out of me echo urban rim and its only just dieing after about a year now. but then again you have got the likes of tryall with a stupidly light rim which is useable for a while before it dies of harsh use, and light weight bikes are all the rage now. also theres a trialtech proto rim that should be out soon which is single wall and been in testing along time and looks like its going to be a brilliant rim.

i think hope should choose first which market they want. and then ask which is most popular out of them.

  12. Know anyone with a macbook etc? Did it with mine, plugged it into my brother mac, worked straight away. That plug thing that comes up means plug it into the computer usually...

ive tryed doing it pluged into computer. ill try find someone with a mac book.

  13. i tryed to restore my ipod classic, i did it on itunes went thorugh the process and then it said you need to plug it into the mains and a picture of a plug comes up. so i did and pressed select and menu together and the logo appeared and it just went back to the plug picture. it tryed it in computer and now all i get is a picture of a battery which then goes back to the plug picture.

    im out of ideas now

  14. Lol it was yours because i remember putting the scratches on it. Not deliberate of course.

are you taking the piss? your baseing the fact your saying it a mates frame on the fact it has scratches. how long have you rode trials?, every frame has scratches in the same places.
