  1. Hi,

    I'm pretty sure the front rim that comes on the Sky2 complete bike (Koxx sky rim) is 37mm wide (happy to be corrected).

    anyway, I had that rim, in the carbon forks for, well, years. I used Trialtech plastic backed pads in the front (I know pad choice comes down to preference) but I found this set-up ok... I also don't run my brakes really sharp. I appreciate the Trialtech rim is 39mm, and 1mm "each side" will make a huge difference when trying to chase mm's but still...

    Try some clamps similar to Tryall's too? might give that slight more adjustment? Secondly give Tryall crocco yellow pads a go on the front. I believe they are a little slimmer too?

I've also noticed this problem, I have the red bodies and black blades and the grub screw seems to work OK (to an extent), however where I have them currently is at that "just" point, in me being able to reach the levers comfortably. However when I've put red blades on, the grub screw completely misses. (Must add that I'd increased the diameter of the pivot bolt hole in the red blade (so it would fit the racingline body) so previously had thought it may have something to do with that) - but obviously is a more common problem.

    I have seen someone else put a small bit of plastic behind the lever blade, where it contacts the lever body (in it's rest position) - not the most aesthetically pleasing of solutions, but does the job none the less.

  3. Collected mine from the sorting office this morning, so yet to try them out - but reading the above, I can see myself waiting until its dark on purpose tonight... Got an LED light collar for Molly (our dog) also... Come at me dark (winter) haha

    field full of cows and a full pipe / loop casually hanging out in the middle - as much as I appreciate the hard work and effort gone in to build it, I did laugh somewhat - couldn't believe it!

Likewise: I went dual bb7 (203's on 24"), never found the rear was all that much hold (in comparison to a hydro) (also probably didn't let it bed in all that much admittedly) so now I'm hydro rear and kept the BB7 on the front, to be honest it's savage! thought about a smaller rotor or putting a hope back on, just to do stoppies again (big fan of stoppies). But then again, the BB7 - it works, another thing with a smaller rotor is I have this weird thing of the bike looking symmetrical (ha), but like I say, it works so I shouldn't in anyway complain.

  6. You need to factor in pedal grinds and amount of per ride in to this to make a proper decision!

    The metal sounds better on the concrete. See the feebal advert in Bi-king: wouldn't be the same without metal pedz!

    plastic would be good at UCI: catch a rock and avoid a 1 point from the lack of "ching"

  7. Headed out with Molly yesterday (guest starring). Quite fancied trying to do a video like this for some time now, probably (quite) obvious where the influence has come from, but none the less I had good fun putting it together! a little bit of trials in it to make it relevant, hope its not all that bad

    As mentioned, I'd like to reinforce also, having a watch of "Tricks and stunts" DVD - will provide a good insight in to balance and control.

    There was a sequel to this also, namely Bi-king / tricks and stunts 2. in one part Martin Hawyes suggests using spots on the pavement (such as cracks, chips - anything that makes a mark really) to use as target points for back wheel / both wheels in maneouvering the bike - pretty fun and naturally can be done anywhere!
