Hi matey
Thanks for the detailed reply! They look a nice frame and like you say geared to being a bit streety!
I would have to get a Magura mount brazed on! They don't look too long which is good as I prefer shorter! The horizontal drops I don't think I'm fond of either
Thanks buddy

Hey chaps!
Got a date now
10th April?
Looks like that date suits te majority of people who'd like to come!
I've made a little image of details (thrown some ideas in) and a little map / directions - so I'll upload that today at some point hopefully!
Like I said before, open to suggestions - aim is for everybody to have a good ride, good fun, relaxed, chance for me (especially) to meet new people, learn some stuff and goin on "the more the Merrier" theme... All welcome, and Any idea / suggestion is a good idea!
At th minute, some ideas like shortest run up, one wheel, biggest gap
Etc..
Cheers all!

Hi all
so... on eBay the Revell trials frames crop up now and then, I'm concerned with 26" frame
they seem a little cheap? is there a reason for that? anyone rode one any experience of one?
I guess a catch is only having the option of a disc brake... Always rode rim brakes myself so...
any comments would be great
thanks

Thanks for the advise from you both! Very much appreciated!
Thanks for the heads up on you experience Punker, I'll have a hunt for rim specs myself too, I'll measure my 521 aswell!
If you could measure it yeah that'd be great, no problem at all if it's a trouble!!
I never thought about making a gain with deeper pads - good idea that!
As if I'm honest I like to run with the lever pulling close to the bar anyway, but it's a pain when it's just that little too far - one too many near misses going off backwards haha
Thanks again for your help!
Cheers

Hi all,
I'm used to riding older frames, for example I'm on a giant hawyes at the minute! Love it none the less
The only thing that troubles me (as I'm short) is bailing - like doing an Olympic long jump HHaha
Anyway...
I wanted to get a newer more evolved trials geometry frame so I got a koxx levelboss (still oldish) anyway my rear wheel is a mavic d521 rim on a hope
When I put this wheel in the koxx my Magura doesn't reach the rim - and have new reasonable sized pads in...
I've pondered an Ashton justice for a bit, never commited to buying - can anyone tell me if I'll have the same problem with that frame please?
I.e will I just have to grit my teeth and get a wider rim or wheel?
Is there anyway around this?
Thanks so much in advance

I'll get the day off work. make a weekend of it, I have family in scunthorpe so can stay there saturday.
If its a jam sorta thing. Could do a section in each route from beginner to expert. and see where we fit in. mini comps like biggest gap, etc just as a bit of fun.
travellinbg down from west cumbria and back in one day is a bit much.. doable though
Hey Matthew!
Excellent, and some good ideas too - I like the idea of the mini comps that's a good idea! I'll have a scout this weekend, maybe take some pictures so people have an idea!
Really looking forward to this...
As promised before I'll pop details up, suchas parking etc.
Thanks again
Can't wait

Excellent
its looking like the 10th April up to now then..
it will be near sportborough - just outside of, easy to get to from M18 on to the A1
on google maps: DN5 7NB is the location, I'll work on a clear set of directions and have a scout for somewhere safe and adequate to leave cars etc, there is parking near the quarry / natural bit but only for about three cars so I'll find somewhere a little better, mind at ease for us.
There's plenty to ride at current but i'll take some garden shears down and try make a path over some more!
Keep you posted on details / advancements!
looking forward to it...

Hi Robin
Thanks for getting back...
Didn't realise that date was the Brits.. Should have checked really!
Well 10th I wasn't free - but shall we aim for that? (if its a more suitable one for people) or, may seem a way off, but early May? that any good for you guys?
like I say.. Might be worth aiming for 10th?
How many guy's coming from your way?
Thanks again,
could be really good fun this - I'm by all means not the next best thing to hit event organization but thought itd make for a nice theme as most rides arranged tend to be street based, and you only know of good natural spots if you live in the areas
Cheers buddy

Hi all,
This may / probably has been done before I don't know, no harm in having a go anyway...
I'm personally a big fan of natural trials myself... After riding today I thought it might be good to put a free - all welcome (not so much a comp) but an event on?
I suppose similar to a jam you may find in Bmx scene but a trials jam. - nice and chilled and relaxed
so.. To start, theres a couple of "natural places" in Doncaster, in the Sprotborough area - if you want to google map it,
various routes from riding over tree routes to bigger rocks, to mossy bigger rocks - appeal to all levels and fancy of riding.
I was hoping to get some interest - set-up some sort of sections / routes?
Not have so much as a formal comp but a gathering of riders, tackling different sections and maybe for a bit of fun come up with a points scheme? (suggestions on this welcome) throw in some UCI rules? i.e. section done all on one wheel = bonus, maybe win a box of chocolates or something?
I don't know - open to suggestions and critiscms!!
Would be sweet if people would be prepared to travel a little?
I'll post pictures up of the area in question to get more interest this weekend or next?
Aiming for a calendar date of: 17th April?
I know its a way off but gives me time to organize some sections / routes?
So this may be utter dribble? or may be worth a shot?
Please let me know
Thanks

hello everyone!
hope you're all doing well!
I used to ride trials obsessively a few years back and as people faded from it as did I and resorted to bmx... dissapointing I know but now Iv come to light and realised bmx is boring and can't be taken in any creative direction that trials takes you now I faded out of trials about the time akrigg was signed on to onza and evolve had just come out so I was hoping for people to sort me out with new media sites that are regularly updated and basically to fetch me up to speed!
thanks for your time!

Hi chaps
A little effort at a flyer / gather of information!
Format of the day I can see may change, but just a long shot at the minute and asking as we have fun!
