  1. In the 'Add or Remove Programs' window click on 'Add / Remove Windows Components' then 'Accessories and Utilities' then click details. Check if paint is ticked. (something like that)

If not, windows disk time :P

  2. Atleast you're starting in the right direction, and not green font on black background at 20px.

Exactly. For a first-time site I've seen much worse. It's quite clean, light, simple. Design isn't much -but it does the job!

Tell you what though, the code for that thing is a f**king monster. I trawled through it for like 10 minuites and I still have NO IDEA what 90% of it even does ... it's some of the most complex, urm.. html? (I can only pick out the odd line of code I even reconise) I've ever seen haha. The scarey bit is, it has NO errors according to w3c, now either thats some utterly amazing feat by microsoft, OR the code is just SO insane that w3c doesn't even reconise it as code (It's all commented with crazy IF brackets). Microsoft for the win!

If you want to lean about webdesign I can't praise this site highly enough; www.webdesignfromscratch.com. It covers everything from how to code nice and cleanly by hand, to how to design simple, userfriendly sites.

    <v:path gradientshapeok="t" insetpenok="f" o:connecttype="segments" textboxrect="@27,@11,@25,@14"/>

    Crazyness >__<

  3. Coolie :D Sounds good! I'm doing Industrial Design.

I won't be taking my bike, I stopped riding about a year ago - now i'm just a forum bum. Maybe I'd get back into it again, but I was crap when I stopped so I'd basically be back to square one again now :P

Only thing I have to sneak in, whatever they say is a mini-fridge, the amount of milk I drink :P

  4. You won't get what you put down anyway :P Not at this stage. I sent mine off months ago and still got put in like my #3 option.

I'm in Harry French, which i'm pretty pleased with, closest to town + union, and bout the same distance to design block as everywhere else.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter, it's the people your with not what block your in (Y)

  5. dude you going to be riding? it seems like we will have quite a crew if you are. Dont be scared.. unlike popular belief im not that much of a willy in person as i seem on here. Also.. you still in to your gym stuff? if you are.. join powerbase as soon as you can. Screw all the other gyms.. it is the best i have seen in my life. Theres a shitty induction but its free.. then you can pay per term or just for the whole year.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be riding, I've still got my bike but i've not even *seen* it for about 1.5 years :P However powerbase I sure as hell will be :)

Powerbase is £220 per year, or £200 if you hand in that random £20 off slip I got through the mail (lol)

Joining powerbase was one of the first things I planned to do. Going back 3 years I was hardcore into working out ... went from like 11 stone to 13.5 stone in 1.5 years. Then I totally stopped (various reasons) and dropped shitloads of weight again (especially backpacking last month - that alone lost me a whole stone). So I'm just starting up a brand new 2 year routine again, prettymuch from scratch again - gonna be awsome :)

  6. Why not just have the past problems solved and have that be the end of it though?

I'm not too sure If your talking just about ipods or in general, but thats just.... well.... it defeats the whole point of technology. If big companies didn't constantly develop stuff, ok, sure, you wouldn't have to buy new stuff every couple of years... but we'd also still be writing letters and keeping our food in a pantry. It sounds stupid, but adding cameras, touchscreens, more storage is the way everything will go - every single product in the world naturally progresses, or it will just get left behind. If you fixed the problem and left it at that sony walkman would still be king, it played music afterall. Is that bad? Not really, but you'd still be paying as much as an ipod for one, if it was top-of-the-line still ;)

At the end of the day, I'm always slightly bemused how passionate people are about this kind of thing - If you want one, buy one, enjoy it. If you think it's the Evil corperations (who afterall are just businessmen) out to steal all your money, then don't buy one and the problem ends there!

  7. Important things in an external hard drive; Cash size (16mb is better), RPM and dual connections (firewire and usb so you can plug it into anything). Also the actual internal manufacturer of the drive (stay AWAY from western digital internals).

Firewire IS faster on external hard drives, though USB 2.0 is faster on paper, the data transfer rate is bitty, and on BIG files is downright shoddy, firewire on the other hand is just constant, doesn't matter if your moving 1000 mp3s or a 1gb movie, almost every time firewire works faster on large transfers.

I got a 350gb 7200rpm 16mb cash external drive with firewire and USB 2 with 3 year warrenty off ebay for £98 posted (Y) It's worth looking around :)

  8. Well since there is no such thing as a fast or good handling moped, that leaves reliable. So just go for something fairly cheap thats not gonna have lost a shitload of value by the time you get a car (Y) Look at the older ones like honda, rather than the 'fast plastic' style ones today.

  9. It's a fasion, there's no such thing as normal cloths.

    Normal; what the majority wear.

There most definitely is a normal. What about 95% of the public wear. Thats why people looked different in the 70's to now, the 'normal' changes.

  10. What pisses me off, whats wrong with us?

    we just wear alternative clothes.

Without getting into this argument at all (because I'm not really bothered)... It's not really because your emo, it's just any kids who dress following a trend are going to get laughed at. The point is mute, Emo, goth, Grebo, punk etc - They are all the same to me, you never see anyone over the age of about 20 wearing that stuff (other than people in bands ) It's almost always a phase that you grow out of and think 'well that was stupid'. Fashions change, things that were cool stop being cool - but there is just something kinda childish about trying to 'be different' by donning a particular type of get-up; so you tend to think of it as something they'll 'grow out of'.

I remember all the 'grebos' ( :P ) from my school back in the day when they were younger, being rebelious and making their 'not bothered what you think' statement, now just a few years later they're all smart, fashionable, and friendly adults. I can't quite take a guy with dyed hair and metal studs on his clothes seriously, for the same reason I couldn't quite take a guy wearing pink flairs and gold chains seriously - you just have a pre consieved image of what's 'normal'.

  11. i think skin peels that you get for like £6 and what a pro will do are different - dont pro's literally cut off the top layer of skin using a tool ??? my friends going to have it done.... its not vain its consern because i have minor scarring now but not anothing permanent *touch wood*

Nah, It's the same stuff as standard derm peels (30% Clycolic Acid, followed by dermacare)... unless you get a laser based peel, or have the epidermis of your skin removed, but neither of those are really peels.

And looking at your skin, I doubt verymuch you'll have so much as a mark when it heels up - acne has to be really quite bad to leave scarring, a lot worse than yours was. (Y)

  12. Dunno about Vanity  , subject of skin yeah... but you know how much you can pick up in just a couple of weeks on a forum, that one above has info on just about everything going.

Edit: Unless your talking about health and diet in general, in which case, yeah :P haha
