Yea, I had a look a the one-on, but I'm into jumping mroe than street really. I've got a pair of dirt jams at the moment and they are wayyyy to heavy for my style. Righteo, I'm putting together a 24" hopefully quite soon. I've not had any experience with them at all (only having 20" and 26" inchers) I was wondering if this set-up would be suitable: Frame: DMR rhythm Forks: Marzocchi Dirt Jam comps Wheelset: ???????? I'm finding it a bit too heavy and beefy. I want something that is quite a lot lighter and smaller. The DMR frames are quite small and they are quite thin, so thats what I'm looking to get hopefully (Y) Nothings really wrong with it, it just doesn't suit my riding. Yea, I may have to do that. I don't really want to use the comps because of the weight and my front end doesn't half weigh a tonne. Its so hard to lift up for manuals and bunnyhops, etc. I'll have a looksie at these 66's. I'm really keen on the DMR rhythm at the moment. Anyone had any experiences with them? Hiya Looking to buy a new 24" jump bike and was wondering what suspension forks were probably the best forks money? Looking for around 100-120mm travel. Don't want to spend too much. (not over 200). I've got a pair of marzochhi comps on my kona shred at the moment and I'm quite keen on them, but I wouldn't mind something a bit lighter... Jackery (Y)

Yup I did a while ago, they were really nice, but I sometimes had them rubbing against my brake booster. (Y) But they've got loads of grip. Probably worth getting.... Jackery (Y)

At the moment, tartybikes have special offers on echo CNCed rims for only 45 pounds for the pair!! If they aren't your taste and actually want proper drilled rims then try viz rims (about 35 posted from vizbikes) or try-all rims. Another option could be the doodey onza ronnie rims (with hedgehogs) you can pick these up from tartybikes quite cheaply and they'll also build the rims up if you wanted! Jackery (Y)

I get this quite a lot as well, it could be the actual hub......what hub is it that you run?? Mine is an onza non-sealed hub and it wobbles in the wind! If thats not the problem then I reckon it maybe your chain tensioners coming loose....check your chain and if it is any tighter or looser than you set it as then you'll have your answer. Hmmm.....I think your best bet would probably be on the maxxis high rollers or maybe a set of tiogas. I have found thse are both really grweat tyres. You can get the high rollers from tartybikes or bikedock and tioga you can buy from bikedock or chainreaction cycles. Another choice maybe a set of michelin comps. Yea, I love long mods. This is my first short bike.....all the others hyave been pretty long. Not too keen on it at all. I used to have a zoo! python copy and they rode dam nice and loved it to bits. I'm hoping the zips are similar to them (Y) Jackery

Hiya I'm thinking of changing from an echo team short to somethign a bit longer like a zona zip. They look quite nice, but I wasn't sure to how they ride. Could someone who owns one maybe give me an idea to which bike they ride similar to and also could anyone give me the wheelbase of them? They look pretty similar to the python though, so do they ride similarily? Also, anyone heard of them snapping or cracking as yet? Cheers Jack

Yup, lean back quite a bit more and kick out......you've got to have quite a lot of trust in your brakes though. Another way I find to take the momentum out of my pedal hopping is to land right on the edge of something to stop the back wheel dead in its tracks. Then its a matter of forward hopping (without a pedal) to get right on top of the obstacle. Then you'll be nice and controlled for the next move. Hope this helps Jackery :P

Would the hope sh*t shifter do the job on brakes :P I found the easiest way to clean my disk before when I had it (I somehow managed to get strawberry laces stuck to it on a ride :D ) was to take off the disk and then leave it to soak in water, then take a smooth scruber thingy (washing up sponge) and gently rub the whole disk.....Then leave to dry and wack it back on. Whether that's the best thing to do or not im not sure.... Jackery

I think something crazy would be awesome for tensioning!! :P I think a nice mod end shape style would be good.......maybe not with horizontal drop outs though :P A bit of a bb rise to make it really feel like a mod. A stock-mod :P A stock with all the rear end features of a mod!!!. Ummmm.......I think that the rear plates that hold the wheel (the part where the bolts are screwed onto) could maybe in the shape of a python 05 as they look nice and dandy, the design of the rear plate could maybe also give you a similar idea for the tensioner :lol: matching Jackery :D

Hows about: XTP headtube Marc Vinco down tube and top tube design Zoo pitbull 04 design BB maybe have mod type chainstay for singlespeed usage?? no deraileur? My paint program is down at the moment, so can't really draw picture. But if you can get general idea I think it would look rather nice. Whether It'd work is another story..... :D Jackery :P

Were you looking for front freewheel or rear freewheel. If you are looking for a front freewheel then I'd say go for the echo cranks, they are only 55 pounds from tartybikes and they are pretty dam decent for the money. Another choice could be the onza musclemans (45 pounds for a pair from trialsshop). Depends on what length you want and also the price you want to pay :P Hope that helped. :D Jackery

I think for a first bike, it won't really matter what spec you have on your bike, as long as its suitable for what you're capable of. For example theres no point in spending over a grand on monty x-lite when you're just learning to backhop. For that you probably just want something cheap and value for money, i.e t-pro, t-bird or maybe one of the cheaper montys (x-alp 219?). Just a suggestion..... I'm not keen on saracens personally but I guess it's all up to your personal opinions and how you ride. I think that it sounds alright though for a first bike :D :P even for a more intermediate it sounds alright as well, so it'll probably last you. Jackery :P

A lot of people won't juse rear disks due to the fact they can make a right mess of most frames. A lot of frames will snap when using a rear disk because of the strain put on the chainstays from the backward motion of the disk I think ^_^ I wouldn't feel safe with one although they are mighty fine on a nice jump bike <_< I'd rather maguras with rimjams and an onza brake booster to be honest..... Looking on the koxx website and saw this bike koxx wasp Never seen it in my life before and never heard anything of it either. Does it share the similar quality of most koxxs? Also who would supply these and how much as it doesn't seem to have details on the website. They look quite nice though. Jackery <_<

Ermm......I think they must of had at least 6 months of use. They are pretty worn down anyway. I've gone back good old koolstops for the time being. I don't want anything super powered anyways. <_< Jackery

I was out riding earlier and I was practicing the double bounce to front wheel techinque on a smallish wall. On my third attempt I landed on the front wheel and when I pulled the lever I felt it lock for a second then when I was up in mid-air with my back wheel not quite up to the edge of the wall, the brake completely fell out underneath me and the front wheel went skiding :P Luckily the wall wasn't that big and I just landed on my feet. I took a look at my front brake and saw that half the plazmatic pad had been ripped off ^_^ :P Has anyone else found they do this? I've not heard of them splitting at least. Jackery <_<
