  1. I don't think it would mate, because: Firstly, if you think about it, there must be loads of pressure going throught that hose; Secondly, I already tried something like that and it still leaked; Thirdly, I spoke to Dave at TartyBikes yeasterday, and he said that it would need a new hose; Finally, I have just ordered a new hose and a new brake. Thanks a lot though, Sam
  2. ok thanks guys, I will fix that one up and put it onto my jump bike and buy a new one for trials as this one is getting a bit worn anyway. Thanks, Sam
  3. Alright mate, I'm from Southampton. Aren't you from hythe Si? lol near enough. Anyway, have a great time mate, Sam
  4. Ok thanks guys, I will do that a.s.a.p. But i'm a bit short on money at the moment so I will have to wait for a week or 2. Thanks, Sam
  5. Good thought mate, I will probably just buy the hose and then just do that, but how do I get the current hose off? Would the 'hairdryer' trick work for that too? Thanks, Sam
  6. Agreed, save up and get something better (even if it's second hand). Sam
  7. Thanks for the quick replys guys! Where could I get the hose? Also do you think my LBS would be able to fit it all for me? Thanks, Sam
  8. Right, I am going to order a new HS33 brake for my trials bike, but I still want to get this one working so that I can put it onto my jump bike. What has happened, is that I have a hole in the hose, and don't know how I can fix it. So I was just wondering if you could help. Maybe an 'Olive'? Or a new bit of hose. (If I need a new bit of hose, where can I purchase this?) Cheers. Here's a pic of where the hole is. Thanks in advance for any help, Sam
  9. 18:12 on my Monty, and it's just right
  10. No mate sorry, don't live near and I can't get there. By the way, I thought you were allowed to post rides in NMC. Because if you're not then that means how do new members go out on rides/organize rides? Sam
  11. How much money do you have to spent? What do you want to replace? Sam
  12. Yes you do mate, and by the way, does anyone know where to buy them as I may need some too? Thanks, Sam
  13. And a bash plate! But yeah, agreed that I would go for the Zona if I were you. But at the end of the day, It is your choice. Hope I Helped, Sam
  14. Yeah, but I want the 'Olympia' brake and you can't get that as a full brake. So if I phone up Tarty, they would probably be able to make one up for me, won't they? Thanks, Sam
  15. Well, I have got the same as you, 06 echo rim on an 06 echo fixed hub. And it has been fine for me. (Actually saying that, I have only ridden it a few times with the new rear wheel lol) I have heard many good things about the ronnies! Hope I Heled, Sam
  16. My problem is that I need an full 04 rear maggie, and I can't find one. So I was thinking I could buy the parts and either get Tarty to build it up for me, or build it up myself. But I am not sure if I have included everything on my list, so far I have: Magura 2004 HS33 Lever (Olimpia)Magura HS33 Slave Cylinders (Black - x2) Magura HS33 Cylinder Washer (x2) Hose (I don't know where I could buy this, does anyone know?)I think that's everything, if not, what is missing? All of these items are listed here. Thanks a lot, Sam
  17. Wow, that was a quick reply, thanks. Does that mean that the 185mm may not fit onto my forks then? Thanks, Sam
  18. I just have a couple of quick questions: Firstly, I am going to buy a 185mm front Avid Ball Bearing 7 Mechanical Disc Brake. I just went down to the bottom of the page to order it, and I noticed that it says 'IS Mount' after each of the other sizes but not the 185mm. What does this actually mean? Does it matter? Secondly, I need to buy a new Magura HS33. I was just looking through the list on CRC, and saw that there were two different types! Which one do I buy for my Monty? The Magura HS33 Single Brake or the Magura HS33 Evo II Single Brake? Thanks, any help will be much appreciated! Thanks a lot, Sam
  19. I think you could just about a=get a nice frame for that! But yeah, Ebay would be a bood start, or just save up more Sam
  20. Well, I haven't got the 'crossover' bit, I have an 'oil splitter' instead. So there isn't a primary cylinder... It probably doesn't matter then? EDIT: Ok, thanks dave, I will just bleed both sides and see how it goes.
  21. Thanks mate, but my lever it the old one (Raceline yellow) with the other type of TPA. Thanks anyway
  22. Wow, that's cool, too bad I just had my frame re-sprayed. lol
