water is less dense than oil so the water reactes faster than oil. so when you pull the lever the pad hits the rim faster and comes off the rim faster anti freeze anti freeze is mainly made of water so is more sutible

spanish flys work great in all conditions but they have maximum lock and foooook all modulation so if u want some pads that last go for koxx browns if not then definately plas spanish flys Gavyn :blink:

a 70 /30 mix of water antifreeze is fine down to about -16 which is adequate unless u like to leave your bike out in the snow. Gavyn :blink:

a front freewheel is where the freewheel is attached to crank arm and a fixed chain ring is attached to the rear hub therefore when the wheel spins the chain spins forward too. Gavyn :blink:

well my mate and i have both weighed are frames on the same pair of scales zona was 2.90kg and the gu was 2.70kg most of the extra weight would seem to be the bash mounts. if u can call 20 grams a quite abit lighter then u must be crazy. :S Gav

my friend died on friday of last week because he sliped off of a car bumper and suffered a brain hemeraige its not exacly that difficult to end ur life because of a simple slip i always bear this in mined every time i go ride my bike this thought scares me still and for this reason i would reccomend that you always wear a helmet remember u ll never replace ur head but u could replace a helmet. i would nt want anyone elses life to end the way that this seventeen year olds life was cruelly ended. dont let this stop u ridin ur bike but take precations which could save lifes. 1 find a wall about handlebar height. 2 practise getting your front wheel to touch the wall and make an attempt at going to bashring. 3 once u can do this comfortly try hitting ur tap about two inches below the wall. 4 roll ur front wheel over the wall and get ur weight centred over the front wheel. 5 this will allow u to suck ur legs up further and raise the backwheel with ease. 6 centre ur weight on the bike and ride off. 7 think ur ace cos u can tap handlebar height :blink: This is how i learned to tap ont, my t raptor. so it should help u Gavyn

i use 175mm tensiles on my zona zip with 18/12 but my brother uses 22/16 and the gear is not too "loose"saying that, his cranks are only 160 mm so that could have something to do with it. hope this helps Gavyn :blink:

try some try-all foam grips put them over ur present grip and they wont slip there grippy in the wet and dry and have lasted well into the second month :blink: For the helmet may i suggest the specialised chamonix mine's survived two nasty dents from hitting my taps to low and they are relatively cheap Gavyn :S

Thanks alot guys blead both brakes tonight in the in a bucket of water and de icer.70 water and 30 de icer. For the simple reason that it sounded easier and was quite simple. I used water then looked at the ice on the road and asked myself "why would i want frozen brakes the day before a comp" and de icer seemed a sensible soloution thanks alot guys for all the help Gav :blink:

Can anyone give me a link (or tell me) the process for bleeding hs 33. I have a bleading kit but with no instructions. please help Gavyn :S

what alot of bull s£$t since when have rear disks become more popular than hs 33 :P

i'm pretty sure that the crank arms are different material or a different size. there either alu for the uci and steel for the biu or the biu ones are 175mm and the uci are 170 not sure but thats my theorey Gavyn (Y)

I dont like the idea of not having the bash plate unless you ride perfectly or use a strong bash ring, also the all that extra metal on the gu is just more weight, ok it may add strenth but the extra weight will surly let you down. My zona may be long but with a zoo stem would be perfect. The stays are long but this makes things like sidehopping alot easier. In my opinoin try them both see which one suits you best and decide about wether you need a bash plate or not please save yourself £85 and get a zona hope this helps Gavyn :lol:

my friend used to have one i would nt reccomend it as it has a rear free wheel and weighs an absouloute ton save up your pennys and get a tpro or a t mag <_< cheerz Gav (N)
