  4. Ive recntly got myself a maxxis minion 2.5 super tacky dual ply. There beastly a fellow rider i know rides into walls as hard as possible on a reasonably pressure and never gets punctures. There great and the dual ply ones are rock solid definately get dual ply minions or highrollers i hear that highrollers also last longer but im not sure. I got mine of tarty
  5. Chavs are everywhere these days and even though i may be classed a chav myself i never try to intimidate people n stuff like that unless there just dicks! But when your riding you just got to get on with it and if any of em try anything. Just show em a bit of fist. Also how come everyone on here is from up north im from london plenty of dodgey peeps round ere you lot should think yourself lucky
  6. I remember MBUK had a comp on a while back when the ashton frame had just come out, and you could win the full bike the team helmet some globe shoes and some other stuff.
  7. You should have posted it in the small questions topic at the top
  8. Try 180 pivots things like that backhops and manuals. Oh and mega spins i think there called there impressive. Also this site should help you with any techniques of how to do things Trashzen CLICK
  9. My KMC runs perfectly fine but if you wan't to waste 30 bucks on a chain go ahead i say,but KMC's rule
  10. Yeah well the nearest bike shop is hellfrauds and they have a 2 week waiting list and charge over the odds. So it made a lot more sense to do it myself
  11. Yeah those echo ones are notorious my mate told me to stay away from those. There aluminium right?
  12. I don't really see the point in spending so much on a chain although it is a pretty important component i jus ride with a KMC KOOL a nice fat bmx one just get one of those and when it starts to get knackered e.g cracked, rusted etc just replace it.And take good care of it oil it and such what.
  13. DMR Zip grips are what i have at the moment there great really soft like, i hardly ever get blisters and lock on quite well with cable ties. There comfy and look great to at only £7. But i think next time i want to try foam grips seen as everyone recommends them. But if you ride alot it will toughen up your hands like that guy in the pic when those things heal theyll(sp) probly be really hard
  14. Success! It took a mixture of techniques but the screw driver was the best it seemed. Thanks for the help guys ill have my new forks up and running anytime soon
  15. yep wel i didn't clean but greased it thouroughly thanks for the help though i have it half on to the point where it will neither go any further or come back off, but ill keep trying
  16. It still doesn't work these forks are bastards they are saracen m.a.d 1s by the way
  17. Thanks but the spanner thing didn't really work and i dont happen to have a scaffold pole handy is there any other way of doing this? cheers
  18. So a 360 pivot im guessing well the hips come into it alot swing them put a lot of effort and turn the front wheel as you do this in the opposite direction to which your moving . This guide should be great help. Go to www.trashzen.com then click on balance and find 'turn the bike around' highlighted in the text somewhere.
  19. I have new forks and im not sure how to fit a crown race bit onto the bottom, i think theres some kind of special hammer or something but i did it last time by filling round the sides of the forks and wacking it on, it did work but at that time i had little experience in bikes and i would like to do it properly now so does anyone know how please? Tried wacking with hammer dosent work
  20. So today i bought some gear to start stripping my old frame to bare metal so i began and started to notice after following instructions on the tin that the grey primer wasn't coming of. Im sure nitromors is meant to take off everything including paint and primer, so i reckon that i haven't left it on long enough. Am i right? Any help would be appreciated.
  21. The heatsink one looks pretty good as the thickness is like 12cm or something similar but there all pretty similar i made one myself didn't cost a penny. But if your strapped for cash just get a couple of normal magura boosters n put em on top of each other i know people that do this and it works pretty well
  22. Yeah or get a really budget frame for a while until you save for the koxx it seems a little silly buying two top end frames one that you won't even be riding for that long, but if your made of money
  23. When you start do 1 full turn clockwise then 1 half-turn anti-clockwise, keep repeating this till you reach the end. Hope this helps... Josh. I know how to tap threads i meant a specialist way of generally fixing a messed up thread thanks for the help anyway. I think ill jus tap it to m6 or i mite know a guy who could helicoil it for me for free. Im sure i could make a steel insert myself all you have to do is tap a thread on the outside m6 and m5 inside maybe ill try it on tuesday.
