just wondering do you still have time to ride? and does your employer pay you aswell as well as the college thanks. :(

things to check for on them....
1. Water/petrol can collect under the arch trims and underseal and leave you with rust problems. Keep a good eye out for this.
2. Also check the runners above the rear lights as dirt can collect, block the runners and cause rust too. These problems seem to be less severe with metallic cars.
3. Check where the petrol filler neck connects to the tank as they rust through.
4. Check the back of the battery for rust
5. Check round the window rubbers for signs of a respray
6. check in the boot for the boot sticker and to see if the boot floor has any bends/ripples in it (signs of accident damage).
7. Check the front wings for the VW logo and clips each side
8.Check the bonnet for the rubber buffers when it's closed
9. Head gasket blows around 80k.
10. The mounting plate holding the fuel pump, in-line fuel filter etc at the back of the car suffers badly from rust. Be sure to replace this as soon as. By either making your own or ordering a new part.
11. If the Polo hesitates for no apparent reason, when accelarating or just travelling along at a constant speed (like you've tapped the brakes on and off) this could be a sign that it needs a new throttle body potention meter. Around £40-£60.
12. If there is scratched paintwork on the door sills, it's a sign the door has dropped and needs adjusted.
13. If there is a buzzing noise, or the sound like an airplane overhead when driving. This is a sign of a knackered wheel bearing

yeh it class for motor trials good mag, did you get the first issue i thought that was the best of the lot of them.
-
thanks waynio :D so is that bucky on the ashton? yeh its a good magazine be better if the bike trials bit was bigger though. :P
-
you got the throttle bodies, on a rolling road to get the engine management power map correct?
-
the bash looks a lot bigger and skinnier than a burns to me??
-

u tried back hopping your motor bike up a hill? its bloody hard got to 2 hops then couldnt do any more, but yeh i agree with the above post every think feels so light.
-
since ive started ive found my confidence has grown a lot, and cycle trials has helped hopping the bike, and getting up steps, but motor trials has helped my front bumps, and like matt says tactical dabs, and a lot on rocks as it helps you know where grip is etc...
-
buy a moto trials one and wack it in, they are 18inch rear rims, but it will go in as they look a lot bigger once they out. jono street trials rider on here uses a mx tube in the back of his 26. and its unpopable he said last year. get a trials tube from www.bvm-moto.com

my bikes like a rainbow, loads of coulours buts it sexxxxxy
-
weaker i would imagine, but a lot depends whether a decent welder welds it, and if there is a gusset put there, like me and jamie decided to do on his there, find a decent welder if you can you will be better off in the long run.
-
ye ashton still rides as training i think, and hawyesy is still bloody good coming 3rd in a round at a welsh championship on a montessa, akkers has one i think (montessa) so does eddy i THINK, also rob warner came 3rd in a really big enduro event think it was a brit champ round.
-
hey reading in the other post that a lot of the motor trials stars came from 'cyclo trials' back grounds and hawzy and ashton used to use it for training then used their motor bikes to train for bike trial, so im just thinking what are your thoughts on it will it improve your riding? ive been thinking it will make you a stronger rider stregth wise. as the bikes weigh around 70kg for a newish one. so hopping this round is obviously harder than a bike. thanks colly
-
marc frexia, albert cabe was aswell were all cyclo trials champions, have you read the description about that bike, sounds class! wish i had one when i was 5 " (Y)

yeh the plumber im working for is making a absolute, bomb!! the college told me that a couple of people are dropping out of doctor training and goining into plumbing, becasue the money is better, a plumber charged my granda £50 an hour +vat + parts, so the money is good, and if i work on the sites some round here give you £1000 to take home after tax etc a week, but obvisously you have to graft for that, my hours are 7:30 - 5:30 usually overtime, so a long day
