So I finally finished my first big paint, i.e. over 2000 layers in total.
Not perfect, but I'm dead happy with it!
-
I try and go for between 2/3rds to 3/4 of the way through. Tuning tyre pressure and tyre choice makes a huge difference, I have found.
-
Not even a poll?
Dissapointing.
FireFox for me.

£40 pa.

I'm going on now, anyone want to race feel free to add me and I accept ASAP...

Yeah, but they seem to have a pretty good resale value on ebay, so if at the end of summer I get bored, I can sell it and I won't loose too much.
I'd be down for a race this evening. I'd go for a PI limit of A850, any car, Mugello full.
My GT is HazT if anyone wants to add for a race?
-
Ahh but you must have spent a load on doing it up. Hennesay you can just buy it and go, maybe a tyre upgrade that's all.
Anyone else drive with a wheel?

I have a copy of Perry McCarty's book, signed by him with best of luck etc,
You may know him as the black Stig.

In for flaming before topic closed!
GAYBOOOOO!

LvL 37 atm, I just drift now though...
Honda S2000 ***
The Lotus' are amazing, when modded they will compete in any class going, I love mine to bits...
The R series cars are awesome, but they are only competitive against other R series cars for the most part, they lack top end unless you tune them hard, and then they loose acceleration and sometimes handling. Like the Viper Challenge, the Hennesey Viper romps, so you have to do it in a Hennesey, there's no other way!

My order has been cancelled.
The contents of my basket have changed to a pair of Dymo Larble writers...
Very cunning, and dissapointing, as apparently those who found this early did get their drives, and Apple were only alerted when people started buying 20+ drives.
-
Indeed, I have recieved no email to say my order has been recieved.
-
Just put it down to excitement. This thread will be in the grave by tomorrow morning, anyway...
-
lol ordered one worse comes to worse should get a full refund so nothing really to lose, was going to be opti mistic order a few and whack em up on flea bay hehe.
I thought of that, but then I thought, how many other people will be buying so many that they will be prepared to undersell me substantially, so none of mine sell. Leaving me with 10TB of HDDs! Haha.

£25 including delivery.
-
shud I make an order???
What happened if they send me a 1gb one?? I obviously don't want one of them, these will work with pc's yeh??
Return it. And even then, if you pay for what says its 1TB, then they have to send you 1 TB do they not?
-
I've payed my money. I want my 1TB.
-
Apple seem to have made a typo on thier website as such 1 terabyte external HDDs are available for £20!
I'm not sure what the deal is, but if you keep lot of stuff, or DL torrents, then it's got to be worth it?
If you are sceptical, I will post back in a few days if the suspected article arrives.

Should do the Arcade TT races they are good.
-
I don't trya nd pretend these games are real, I take them at face value, and if I had the chance to race , with the costs of playing a game, I would, because I know it's far more exciting.
But to write it off and say everyone should do it doesn't make any sense to me.

There are plenty of grass roots series all around the UK which are easy to enter and fun. Hillclimbing for instance is very cheap and great fun you can use you road going car with very few things need for saftey eg. Fire extinguser. If you go to www.msauk.org you can find loads of information on different types of motorsport. When you enter you are covered on competition insurance.
As for cost, how much does it cost the average person for their games consol, games, controlers, TV, surround sound and much more. Bet it adds up to quite a lot?
So when I bin my commuter car on the first corner of my first race. I'm screwed.
It's not cheap at all.
This is relatively cheap. And I enjoy it, so why the f**k shouldn't I?
-
Meh.
Typed about 5 different replies and then decided all I was trying to say was 'Meh'.

No, you don't, best bet is a 612 Scaglietti, it'll compete in that, the Ferrari Manufacturer races and it's pretty good to drive with a sensible tune.
Allthough you can't go wrong with the RS6, all round, I found it understeered too much for me, and the only way to get rid of it in the tuning made it too slow in the straights to be competitive.
I have this blue R4 Viper Compe Coupe, it appsolutely romps, I love it.

Well, simple maths says that if each logo is around 700 different layers, and there are 3 logos, then there will be 2100 layers, in total, over the car.
Edit: Just realised you haven't replied in this thread, so I will assume you haven't played FM2 or done much work in the livery editor, and add a less sarcastic reply. You can't import photos. There are three fonts, each of which has an upper and lower case. None of them are the BTTF font. You have to work from the back up, making everything from incredibly basic shapes, which you can re-size in the x or y co-ordinates, spin, skew, or add transparency. There is no Adobe Photoshop on this game, and if you want to draw something, it takes time, and effort. This isn't an incredibly complex or exotic design, but the way I built it up, it too around 700 layers per logo, to create.
