  1. and what the fook would EMO be

i believe it's "emotional rock music" or something. these days its basically an umbrella term for a lot of different types of music from dashboard confessional to thursday etc. i've got a mate who's into it (fag) and he reckons emo is more acousticy and girly and the rest is melodic hard core or some shit.

i like a lot of his music, so i shouldn't criticise it, but the scene is kind of annoying!

happy birthday to dan btw. (is this the guy that always says biketrials/echo/planet x/etc. rules?) have a good day yadayadayada.

  2. i also dont see why i have to be irish to go out and have a laugh on st paddys day.

you don't have to be irish to go out and have a laugh (notice no "on st. patrick's day") why is it such a big deal for you to celebrate it? i don't see why you have to celebrste st. patricks day when you "can go out and have a laugh" on any day. like tomm said, its all about the alcohol. which is available on any day. so why all the fuss about getting drunk 'because its st. patrick's day'?!

Fingers up to anyone who thinks that cos i couldnt care less.

    (Y) if you couldn't care less, why all the fuss?

  3. i won't be celbrating st. patrick's day as such. i will be celebrating ON st. Patrick's day though, my gf will have just handed in her dissertation, and i've just handed 2assignments, so we're going straight to the pub after lectures. I will be drinking guinness, but that's a) because i like it and (Y) because it's cheap today.

i wonder how many of the english people on here go out to celebrate st. george's day? it seems hypocritical of people to get so excited about an irish holiday which has very little/nothing to do with them, whereas next to noone gets nearly as excited about their OWN patron st's day...when i'm in the pub, i won't be talking drunkenly about the 'craic' or any other irish related stuff...why celebrate irishness when i'm english and don't celebrate englishness?

I've noticed that the American's seem very proud of their Irish roots, not sure why

(i think) its because as little as 1 or 2 generations ago, hundreds of irish people emigrated to america looking for work. they were massively discriminated against and therefore stuck together and their irish 'ness' became their solidarity...a lot opf americans are actually descended from these irish immigrants, and do have irish roots. but they're still american. i guess its because irish people are often seen as 'fun' etc. that they cling to whatmeagre irish heritage they have. i'm sure half of them are lying about it anyway....also, i'm quite possibly wrong. but that's my estimation of it.

  8. 3 points for anyone who knows what mine is

Its the dove logo from all things Thursday.

mine is a .gif from the Rancid website. because i like Rancid. I'll probably change it soon though.Member title is just something someone called me once and i liked it.

  9. what i did was take it with me from the start. Most Uni Halls Of Residence will have a secure bike shed with locked doors, and you can also lock your bike up inside there. You most probably won't use your bike for the first two weeks or so anyway as there's so much new stuff and people around to distract you! After a while i moved my bike up to my room, and just moved it when the cleaner came round (They normally give you a set day/time when they'll be coming). she knew i had it in there, but as i never damaged anything with it or left any mess, and was nice to her, there was no problem. just be subtle about it and you'll be fine. after the 1st year you'll most probably have your own house anyway, so its not a problem after that! Good Luck at uni :P

  10. when you use your 2 biggest fingers as a bike (first finger front wheel, 2nd finger rear) and ride your finger bike over your girlfriends tits without realising what your doing...

glad i'm not the only one (Y)"

when u go on trials forum even though you went on ten mins ago and KNOW there'll be nothing new to read

  11. where can I get an RB? supersycles say they haven't got any in at the moment, and haven't had for months and aren't likely to for months...where did all you guys get yours? is there anywhere in the UK where I can order one?

    ~Ben
