  2. Post from Observed Trials http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthread.php?t=19261 French competition -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello all, I organize a bike trial competition in France. Considering that it's not too far from England, that may interest you. It's meadows of Rennes (St Aubin du Cormier) in Brittany and it is on April 30, 2006. it y will certainly have in Elite Kenny Lecorre, Vincent Hermance, as well as other very good pilots. Here's the post And here's the acess map My E-mail adress: baldabiou35@hotmail.com
  3. Perspectives/Curiosities There seems to be no English speakers from Spain in trials on the web/internet. My perspective living here in Spain is different from what is being "chatted-up." In my opportunities to see Benito over the past 3 years, there always is a girl involved.... - I ran into him in McDonalds, approx 3 years ago, we exchanged hellos - his girlfriend was with him - At all the Championships of Spain I have been to - his girlfriend has been there - Regional competition I went to - his girlfriend was there(400+ miles from her home) - First Benito Ros Live session at 11pm to 12pm - was from Benito's girlfriend's house I hope posting these details does not in anyway cause a problem for Benito or his girlfriend, I just felt someone in Spain needed to speak. I consider Benito, Benito's Dad and Benito's girlfriend as my friends, and I want to keep it that way. There are lots of intuitive and smart people from the trials world on the internet. These people bring value to the sport of trials. John ===================================================================== ===================================================================== "Some of Life's Puzzles" from John Wooden in the book Wooden * "Why is it easier to criticize than to compliment?" * "Why is it so much easier to be negative than positive?" * "Why are there so many who want to build up the weak by tearing down the strong?" * "Why is it that so many non attainers are quick to criticize, question, and belittle the attainers" * "Why is it so hard for us to understand that we cannot antagonize and positively influence at the same time?" * "Why is it so much easier to complain about the things we do not have than to make the most of and appreciate the things we do have?" by John Wooden
  4. I find it peculiar to have to wait for membership. Being halted from giving ligitament insight into a subject on your "members chat". All the while, other "approved members" have negative things to say about a friend of mine. It is even more disappointing to see there apparently is no knowledgeable member to state some facts. I have just read and seen some "premembers" have been waiting weeks for approval. I am frustrated and disappointed. I see this situation as irresponsible.
  5. Both Monty and Koxx are great bikes. Top of the line bikes in each model... Monty - 2006 has a double disc, which gives it good breaking with less maintenance. Koxx - uses hydraulic breaks, therefore is lighter than the Monty, but you need to roughen your rims and adjust the location of brake pads periodically. If you get a chance, ride both and talk with their owners. Good luck and good riding!
  6. I would search for a second hand bike. You can find bikes in good shape, one to two years old which were the"state of the art" level, at economic prices. The advantages: High quality bike Great brakes Light weight The risks: Look on internet to make sure whether that model and year of bike had any defects or lot's of breakages Look at all welds for small dark lines or cracks I have done very very well in the second hand market. You can too. Good luck!
