  6. Well im still riding ,got my new wheel and put a nice grind on it yesterday, should be good cant wait oh and HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!
  7. iv'e spent in total around £850 the best part & new on today is my GU hub on a echo 2007 rim all in gold with black spokes
  8. Thanks for your input, I did think of this but thought that the wheel might keep slipping
  9. What front disc is that? it looks awesome i want it now
  10. Right i have finaly got my new wheel and when i just even nip the wheel bolts up that clamp to the frame to hold the wheel, the bolts squash the frame and inbed themself's into the frame and bend the metal over so it clamps the axle making setting up the rear wheel very difficult, Anyone else have this problem, seems the back of the GU frame (dropout) is made of seriously soft metal
  11. Well at the moment i hate my GU the frames are sooo soft , probably the worst bike is a mission prodigy in my opinion as they weigh a ton
  12. Hi, Your pic doesn't work for me but have you tried the GU website http://www.gubike.com/typhoon-20.htm i like the Gold thats why i have brought a gold rear wheel for mine and slowly get the rest of the parts in gold too!! Hope you can decide cause i think they all look sexual ENJOY YOUR CHRISTMAS
  13. I've ridden for nearly a year without a grind then brought my bike that already had a grind and now i wouldn't ride with out one. Yes i think zoo pads are good on a smooth rim but the rim does need to be clean so not good for winter ridding (WHICH HAS ALREADY BEEN SAID). I think a grinded rim is better as your brake pads wont stick/lock to the rim like tar does sometimes and a grinded rim is good in rain unlike tar. I have a grinded rim using koxx browns which have lasted me ages and showing no wear atall really and my brakes have never slipped- Cant go wrong
  14. My most memorable trials achievement's was in the last few weeks when i learnt to do:Nose pogo's, 360 spins of walls and 360 pivots
  15. Get a grinder and give it ago, got my new wheel arriving any day now from tarty and im going to give it a go (@ grinding it) as tarty wont do it
  16. I also agree a nice grind is better, I used to use tar and i found it in the joins on my drive way( and it wern't there for long)
  17. Oh i see now,iv'e never done comps so thats probably why i havn't heard about it.Thanks that helped allot
  18. probably just my overall control on the back wheel and im pretty good at gaps now
  19. If i had one i would use it as its there to be used and abused but as i have a GU its not an option only a rockring this may sound a bit dumb but: UCI - BIU whats all that about?
  20. Hi all, Im finally getting a crash helmet for christmas-Giro E2 and a: new wheel which is currently being built at tartybikes with the GU fixed hub in gold with Gold 2007 echo rim and echo rear tyre. Maybe some new pedals and try-all lock grips Then im going to ride for a little while christmas day
  21. I really need to practice my sidehops, Just recently learnt to do nose pogo's & wheel swaps smoooooothly
  22. Look nice i think not bad price either I think in the running are: Another pair of v8's onza shin digs they look very grippy or Try-all ones but worried about the bolts coming loose and bending the cages all the time. Thanks for the help so far atleast its narrowed it down abit
  23. Hi can any of you please help. i need new pedals as my v8's are worn and i keep slipping of the pedals But what should i go for? Im thinking of going for the try-all double cage ones but are they all right to use for street riding as in the past the screws that hold the cages on kept coming loose. Thanks for any help
