I've tested alu disc with standat pads. The result is little better than with standart disc. BUT!!! alu disc will die after 2-3 days of riding. I can compare it with magura brake with koxx bloxx pads(or zoo) on front. Very powerful breaking.

We don't have trial dillers, no even shops where to buy magura Our town blocked from other Russia by Poland... adamtrials standart rotor is more(or much? ) heavy Tested out the brake today... sweet Breaking level is very impressive... i can forget about manuals but say hello to big gaps on front wheel! some photos soon

future orange 660 tsssssss.... it's a secret disc is fine. Holes will destroy pads material. Look at the plazmatic disc. hm.. no. Everything fine. I test it. The braking level is much better than with standart disc/pads... its like an article for those, who interested in increasing brake force.

Some time ago I’ve bought tektro disc brake (about 10 euro). It didn't give me braking level that is needed for trial. That's why I decide to make disc and pads by myself. I didn't have problems with the disc. It was made by local drunk master . I had problems with pads. My experience shows, that glue won’t handle the flat surface. There is two ways of solving this: 1) to rivet the material to the pad's platform. It is a bad idea because it will destroy the disc. 2) To make ledges on the pad's material. It will do. The steps of creating pads are shown in the photos. I don't think that this article will be interesting for magura or hope owner.... it for others Validation here I go ))) WARNING!!! USE RESPIRATOR!!! Or the dust of this shit will damage your health.

I'm really need to do pads because I have shit break I bought it for 10-15 euro... Tektro disk brake.. Zero braking)) Alu disc need for saving weight and saving material(I think old disk will destroy pad's material) Work will be done in few days... I will post up the result.. will see I'm starting to think about avid brake ))))))))))

Hi! I want to know whether somebody made pads for disk brakes? My friends have made pads for vee-brakes and magura. Force of braking the same as on the zoo/koxx pads. I want to make an aluminium disk and pads (they are from a shoe material (I don't know it's name in english)) The Material for pads has prepared. I need to make a disk. I think it it is necessary to make it without holes for durability. What do you think about this?

3 cross-overs is standart. 4 cross is more heavy but more stronger. 2 joe parker: if you don't ride hard or you don't want to make side hop record, 3 cross-overs is the best choise (for mega sidehops i'd recomend zero cross-overs(don't know how to say it in english) in the left side of the wheel and 3 cross in the right).

My first bike was hand made with wheel base less than 1000...... horrible)))))
