  1. Well i upgraded my rear wheel from D521 to Try-All on pro 2. then i changed my frame and its to big for the frame so i've ordered another fame...... So yes they are money pits, but when its working its well worth it
  2. Hey Guys, I was wondering whats better - Steel forks (Pashley TV Series) or Aluminum forks (Saracen M.A.D. Forks)? I know that steel will be heavier but i prefer to have stronger forks that light forks as i'm years away from being anything like a pro. Your opinions please.
  3. Thanks for the ideas but considering i just spent £180 on a rear wheel and £90 on a frame i think ill change the frame...... Thanks for the help though
  4. Hello all, Im thinking about getting the Sidehop frame (link), Does anyone know if i will be able to run my try-all rear wheel on it? I already have a Heatsink Magera brake booster which doesn't fit my Saracen Urban frame (nore does the rim) because the frame is too narrow. So in theory it should be able to run the rim? Si
  5. Thanks for that idea but i think the actual magera caliper that surrounds the pad is still to close to the rim. I think i will just sell it and but a better frame and one where it will fit. Is there any other frames that i will have the same problem with?I don't want to make this mistake agiain
  6. hello. I've just upgraded my DDG Shooter frame to a Saracen Urban trials frame but my Mageras dont fit with my (also new) try-all rear rim The Mageras are so close to the rim it doesnt actually turn and ive also tryed spacers on the rear axel but no luck. Is there anything else i could try? Heres some pictures showing the problem: As you can see, the Mageras are as far back as they can be. I hope some one can help Si
  7. managed to make a tool using a ball joint breaker for a mini just got a bolt that fits in the crank arm and can pus the taper out. works a treat. thanks for your help though guys.
  8. hey guys. today i changed my frame over and when it came to removing the crank arms off my old frame it wasnt as easy as i expected.... the right arm came off with the tool no problems but when i used the tool on the left arm it just pulled the thead out of the crank eventally i got it off by heating the arm up (so it expands around the spline) and hiting it with a hammer lol. anyway i dont really want to put it on my new frame if the only way i can get it off again is with brute force because i dont want to damage my new frame. is there a way of tapping the thread again? ive looked for a spare arm on the internet (tarty, ebay etc...) but cant find one similar. regards Si edit:pics:

  10. well i will try that because i will want to try my new frame out tomorow and i wont have the clamps then. cheers guys.
  11. thankyou rideside, ive orderd the mounts from tartybikes.co.uk and it was free delivery
  12. hey all. i should get my new frame tomorow which has Magura 4-bolt mounts. my current frame only has v mounts. i was wondering if they will work/fit without buying the 4-bolt clamps :linky cos the bottom clamp on the original magura clamps have a toothed edge at the top for that ajustable rest thingy. i hope you know what i mean because it makes sense in my head lol
  13. i orderd a red rim tape from cleanbikes.co.uk yesterday and it arrived today but the tape did work.
  14. thanks that worked a treat. ive order a rim tape for it any way. good job ive orderd a new frame as well seeing as the try all rim and hs33's dont fit together on my DDG shoot frame lmao! they will fit the saracen urban frame wont they. it does has magura mounts.
  15. hey, ive just built up a wheel, hope pro 2 rear hub and try-all 26" rim and was wondering what to do about rim tape. its too wide for a normal one and duck tape will attracte the dirt on the inside through the holes. has anyone had the same problem and how did you sort it? cheers guys.
