sounds like its a memory hungry antivirus (like norton) scaning the downloading file. how much memory have you got? what antivirus are you using? any other anti-spyware / firewall protection running? P.S if any of you guys experience slow booting / bad system performance and you have a pc with 256MB RAM and Norton antivirus / sercurity center then remove it! loads of decent free ones out there that dont slow your pc down!

reboot pc as soon as it starts restarting keep pressing F8 (do not hold it down) when Windows menu appears select safe mode when in safe mode do virus/spware scan back up important documents (note you will not have USB support in safe mode) or remove hard drive and put it into another comp, run scans on it

boot to safe mode and uninstall the graphics driver. To get into safe mode: restart pc, the moment the pc restarts keep pressing F8 untill the boot options appear. select safe mode select "microsoft windows" when booted to windows go to controll pannel click add/remove programs select Nvidia Drivers and click uninstall restart pc and reinstall the drivers

sounds like you need to configure the Nvidia controll properly. make sure "auto detect tv output" is checked and there is a wizard to help you set the tv up if i remember....

Oh i dont miss using cubase everyday. Our music tech class had endless amounts of problems with VST 5.1 then we upgraded to cubase 2 (i think) and not even the teacher could use it lol. As long as Vista can support and MIDI inputs or Audio inputs it should be fine. I remember hearing there was audio driver problems with vista?

i thought amd processers were alot more quiet and cooler.... or is that just desktop processors?

whats the hurry to get vista? remember what XP was like when it was first released......... loads of updates to fix security flaws........ only really started getting good after service pack 1 and now 2. but if your not too botherd about security then go for it. isnt it strange how all new PC's come with vista, you can only get XP from dell and HP i think now. just shows how bill controlls the marked

It may be an issue between the AGP card and memory. what memory and motherboard you using? Do you know your way round the BIOS? would make troubleshooting alot easier if you can.

run this online virus scanner : house call see if that comes up with anything. you have 1GB of memory? and theres less than a third free so theres got to be something eating your comps resources...

does the process IEXPORER.EXE always dispaly as using 90% of your CPU time in your task manager? if so there could be adware or something (or a toolbar)using system resources. can you screenshot the "performance" page in the task manager please mate. make sure you are not running two antivirus programs and go through "add or remove programs" and uninstal programs that you dont use and look suspect

After a ride i was walking my girlfriend home and we went past a hotel where a wedding reception was being held. CBT (50cc test) is like £40 to £60 depending if you hire a bike or not Full bike test is around £45 i think for the test but it is highly recomended to have some bike training before you take it! (you wouldn't do your car test with out having driven a car on the roard or hadn't had any lessons!) So to do the training you would have to do your CBT first so you can ride on the road. Ive just rememberd that i had to take my CBT certificate to my full test so youve gotta do that first! hope this helps rocks370

I saw them last night (sat night) Were bloody amazing, Iron Maiden are now one of the best bands i have seen live It was Dave Murray's birthday as well so the croud sung Happy Birthday 3 times during the whole evening lol. My ears are still ringing
