I have been thinking about riding comps but have never got round to it. I've been to watch a friend at a comp then rode the courses afterwards but that's it.

Clean it off and put fresh grease on it. Then use a very small amount of loctite on the threads.

Could use loctite on your thread to stop it coming loose. Are the threads clean and is there thread still in the bb shell?

I miss these old school riders videos, no front wheel stuff, just power it straight to rear wheel. Shame not many of those riders are still about now. Awesome video though.

Holy roller, what are them tyres like on the rear? Do they ever pinch?

I find HS33 better than discs because they have much more hold on them. Its not exactly that hard to set a magura up anyway. Ever since I've got rid of my front disc I found using a HS33 on the front has made my confidence better. I've ridden with dual disc before, they are good to a certain extent, but they just don't hold as well.

Ahh I'll be in college I might be going London soon for a night ride sometime this month though, if you want to come along to them, they are quite fun.

I think its for a stronger engagement. Where it is at the back you have the chain to engage it, but at the front the force is directly off the cranks. Someone correct me if I am wrong lol
