anyone know if braken rocks is open for practice, would be good to ride there the week before ymsa trial,? rob

the next round of the ymsa's awsome uci club trials is on , its a week on sunday, and its at braken rocks, good good venue. the same top level of section's can be expected, (all fully taped as it should be for uci) it is sure to be a brilliant event and it would be good to see a good turnout. as far as i know entry forms are available online rob

anywhere not too far really, matlock area, rochdale area, maybe even street if nothing else is going off, some one must be up for it rob

i think the problem with the selection was that, people who had already quailified still turned up and rode again, so that left no space for others to qualify for example, if your already top 10 in the world, then why ride the qualifier, then if you came in the top 3 of the first one why ride the second one, ? could have gave some other lads a chance, its just what i thought, didnt bother me as i didnt ride at any of them anyway, lol good luck to all the lads off to italy, im giving it a miss this year so the P.A. will be missed! lol rob

i arnt even a member yet this year dave, if a come down is it possble to join etc when i get there or even maybe on the web beforhand. i havent ridden an essex trial for a while and i used to really enjoy them so might give it a go. rob

All bikes and parts are going up, some this month and some next year. Basically, the real big companies that buy a lot from tiwan have an agreed price for the rest of the year. Any of the smaller ones are subject to price rises sooner. Steel is afected more than alloy, so not too much bad news for us trials guy's, Most of the alloy framed bikes that i stock are going up around 12 percent, Most of the real cheap steel stuff is going up as much as 20 percent, Rubber is allso going up, i have noticed a price increase in tubes already, But most bike shops make a huge proffit on tubes and should be able to absorb these initial increases. As for tesco, they but a lot of stuff direct from the far east and in far bigger numbers than most suplyers in the country so they should have the same price for the rest of the year, (tesco probably tell taiwan how much they are going to paye for them! lol) I dont know how it affects any of the trials brands, but most of the mainstream brands i deal with have gone up as of this month including, raleigh, claud butler, and most of the cheaper makes, people like Hotwheels, importer of GT, Mongoose, charge. And even 2x2, importers of Kona, Landrover etc are stayin put untill 2009. Not sure if i have explained that very well but hey try'd , lol Rob o yer and dont get me started about the fuel costs, it's tax all bloody tax, Gordon Brown stuffing us all. The price of fuel is over 60 percent duty. price of oil my arse! Oil is priced in dollors right? at the moment the dollor is weak against the pound, So why the hell dont we get more oil to the pound, surly more dollors the the pound should mean more oil to the pound! aaaaarrrrrrr!

it was a big shame about the weather, but otherwise an awesome trial, the sections were set out to be hard in the dry, so the rain made it extra hard, a big big thanks to everyone who stood out in the rain for ages, and a big thank you to all the riders who made the effort to ride and to finish! also thanks to the riders who are better than me but gave up, you made me come second by default! lol its a crying shame the entry was so low, as these were some of the best sections i have rode this year so far. i hope to see more people at the next, bracken is a top venue, and dave's sections never disappoint!! thanks again to everyone involved. rob

yer good old kelly farm sections, i always seem to get close to the end and either run out of time or fall off because im so worn out! the sections were long and hard. i was happy with cleaning a couple of them but the rest of my riding was the worst, and i punctured too, lol. was some big drops in them sections too glad i lived to ride another day, lol big thanks to organisers, observers and i big well done to all you guys who thrashed me! lol rob

never even knew it was on untill now! its a bit late for me as i dont have an acu or biu and dont have anywhere to stay and have to work untill 6 on the saturday! doh! rob
