  1. I do know what the supposed gear ratios are for bmx ive bin riding on and off for 3 years, i don't like those ratios, i like mine a bit more spinny to be honest, i am no thinking due to it being my bithday soon get the same wheel but with a eastern cassette hub and sell this one, and have a look into chains.

the hub i had on my bmx was an odyssey hazard, its really good but expensive sounds nice aswell a loud sharp click B)(Y)

  2. Well i did have a zona zip, and i loved it at first, improved my sidehopping so much, but i then got bored of it and decided to spray it matt black, still it did not make me want to ride the bike anymore, i have now gone for a ko-bike km1 (see Trials-Uk for more details), i will post a review on here after i have rode it for a while.

Me personally though, i would not really advise the zona, it just gets boring, for some strange reason everybody sells them after a while.

    Dan.

ive got a monty 220 and i got bored with that so sanded it down to bare metal and polished it but im still bored of the way it rides and thats why i was looking for a different type of frame bit longer and lower with a high bb hieght

  3. Right i have just bought a 14t acs to get my gear ratio slightly better, but due to me running a 'fat' motorbike style chain and the acs having a raised part on the freewheel the chain isnt sitting properly when pedalling and generally feel shyte, good i machine donw that part of the freewheel or is it a better idea getting a cassette hub as my ratio at the moment is 32t>14t.

32t-14t you should be runing a 38t with a 14 but you could get an odessey freewheel which is a 13 but the gearing will still be out -

    heres the gearing ratios

    44 - 16

    38 - 14

    36 - 13

    33 - 12

    30 - 11

    28 - 10

    25 - 9

    hope this helps

  4. the old style maggie levers always brake on the tpa. (N)

but this can be fixed (Y)

all you need is a bolt from a skateboard or one with the same thread it has to be between 1" and 1.5"

now to start remove the lever blade look inside the blade where the broken bolt from the tpa is and remove it, then take the red part of the tpa off. there should be a square brass coloured bit, screw the new (skateboard) bolt into this holding the square bit with a pair of pliers then reassemble the lever.

all fixed now to adjust the new tpa just hold the brass square and screw in the bolt or vice versa this should work perfect at least it did for me good luck and get riding. :D

  5. It's heavy because of the shocker (at least 1.3kg over traditional rigid forks), seat and seat post (my guess is 0.8kg) and the disc setup (an extra 0.5kg over maguras). In total that gives you over 2.5kgs of extra weight.

i think maguras weigh more than discs do, but that all depends on the discs anyways it will weigh more mainly because of the forks (N) suspension forks also mean less control i dont know why monty have done this but i would get new forks (Y)
