  1. The RNID regards 80 decibels as the level at which hearing is threatened - 20 less than a pneumatic drill

Some MP3 players can reach 105 decibels. EU iPods have a sound limiter to comply with noise safety levels, however sometimes users hack through this in order to listen to it louder.

    Noise levels

A quiet room at night - 20 decibels

An ordinary spoken conversation - 60 decibels

    A busy street - 70 decibels

    A pneumatic drill - 100 decibels

Some personal music players (at high volume) - 105 decibels

Aircraft taking off - 110 decibels

Many people don't think twice about getting their eyes examined on a regular basis, readily purchasing glasses or contact lenses if necessary, and yet neglecting to take care of their ears. While hearing loss might not be as noticeable as sight degeneration in the earliest stages, the long-term damage can be more severe if left unchecked. What's more, many people don't realize that their increasing communication problems are caused by their own inability to clearly understand others, leading to misdirected irritability, anger and frustration.

    Who gets tinnitus?

Experiences of tinnitus are very common in all age groups, especially following exposure to loud noise, however, it is unusual for it to be a major problem. There is a widely held misconception that tinnitus is confined to the elderly, but various studies have shown that it can occur at any age, even quite young children. Mild tinnitus is common - about 10 per cent of the population have it all the time and, in up to one per cent of adults, this may affect the quality of their life.

  2. Telewest may be an option. they dont use bt network as far as i know

however most ADSL companys use bts network, so if you need another line off bt then most people wont give you the broadband link.

It may be worth trying NTL see if they can provide some internet for you!

Also ask the gas board they do broadband aswell, they might be able to put in another line while they put some gas in for you!!! :) :P :D (Y)"

  3. well it depends on the person that is trying it on with the misses, if hes dog ugly then shes going to say no, unfortunally from most of my experiences if the bloke is remotely good looking women normally say 'yes'.

So the word i think comes to mind is, not desperate.

  4. spectral energy may be the part you can see? maybe the magnetic field attracts loose particles in the air? and the particles dont actually pass through the wall etc?

just a few ideas, probs already been disproven

  5. thinking about it, they say that ghosts are a form of EMF energy and spectrial energy, well magnetic fields can pass through solids, so if they are basically an unknown magnetic field then surely they can pass through anything?

    god knows..

  6. I guess that your day was real crap compared to the people in the 3rd world who have nothing to keep going, no food, no water, and a corrupt govenment...

There is always someone whos days been worse! keep smiling boys and girls

    :) :D

  7. Actually if the atoms were moving that fast one of the solids or both would turn into liquids causing them to pass through each other.

Or gas, Mr monkey i'm with you, however just because there is no proved scientific theory that ghosts can pass through solid walls etc, it don't mean that they cant exist full stop?

So i did a bit of reading...

EMF Flaws. An explanation of the way ghosts could be created, (all speculation still)
