Joe@Onza Posted July 3, 2007 Report Share Posted July 3, 2007 It depends on what freewheel it is? ACS claw needs a 4 pronged remover tool, but its still a nightmare to get off. I usually end up destroying it in the process. Tensile for example has the Shimano splined removal tool that fits in it which usually causes no fuss. liam_thornton Posted July 3, 2007 Report Share Posted July 3, 2007 It is very hard if you want the freewheel intact.1.Put the crank arm in a vice.2.Clamp the tool onto the freewheel so it wont round it off if it slips out.3.Get the biggest scaffolding pole u can.4.Then use some elbow grease and turn it.Should work, thats what i do.
