Wanting A Change

hi chaps,

although it says i joined last year, this is my first post.

i started riding last christmas when i got my mission prodigy (mod) and i rode it every day for about 2 months straight but never really improved, and then the place were i was riding got knocked down so i just gave up.

now my mate has just bought a M.A.D Sarecen of ebay, so ive just picked it up again and im actually improveing quite fast now, could only get up about 1 foot before now more like 3 foot, probly sounds tiny to you guys though.

i really like the sarecen my mate has but think it is a lil bit short and after breaking the mech hanger once were both scared to do side hops on it.

ive seen the adamant A1 and read that it had horizontal drop outs so no mech hanger is needed and that got me thinking.

problem is im not sure wether or not i want to move to stock trials, so what advandages are there over mod and wich do you prefer?

if i went 26 i would get the adamant A1 long. pretty much as speced on tarty bikes.

and if i got another mod i think it would have to be the t-comp with a couple extra upgrades.

so what do you think?

also could someone please tell me how to do a hook up?

thanks

chris

ps. is there anyone else in the winnersh/ reading area who we could ride with (gets a bit lonly)

Aright man,

I think i rode past you the other day in winersh, there are loads of riders around that area,

The key man is to keeep practicing, upgrade your 20" get a few parts that will make u inprove, better brakes for a start if you

riding V-brakes ( although many members on here would say you cant go wrong with a good set up V hahaah), get a pair of maguras, if u feel you want a 26 then its compleatly up to u, but people may say its easyer to start on 20".

Next time u see some riders in winersh, say hi man!.

keep riding

my names dan send us a messege if u want any more details

down bluebell? probly was me, i live round there, and now ride in winnersh triangle. you got msn?

ive got maguaras on it, hs33 2004 rear, hs11 2006 front. problem with the prodigy is i cant find many parts that fit it that will help me, parts on it are oversized and it weighs a ton.

the reason i ask about 26 is cos i prefer riding my mates 26" just feels more responsive and easyer to ride. i notice most of the sponserd riders have 26" bikes aswell, thought there might be something in that?

also i have a sarecen x-ile mountain bike and i love that wich is probly why i like the 26" more.

was wondering how easy is it to break a disk brake when riding cos they do look very vunerable?

The A1 is lush, I have one, pretty good allround

To do a hook, get some crates, make a slanted wall about a foot over bar height

ride fast(ish) and bunnyhop into them with your front wheel ontop and back wheel on the slant

land with your weight over the front

tuck your legs up and the back wheel should follow
